It take this county an absurd amount of time to review documents sent in to be recorded. Our office files deeds very frequently all around NY and sometimes in other states, and this county is by far the worst to deal with. It takes them over a month to even review the documents, and if they come across even one minor error, they will send the document back without reviewing the rest of it, making you wait over a month again just for them to review it again. God forbid there's more than one change needed to any document. For reference, Nassau county, when extremely backed up, takes about a week to review documents, but usually less time. All other counties are less than a week. While Covid staffing was an issue I understood the wait, but while all other counties worked through their backlog and cut down on the time it takes, it's actually taking more time for them to review documents now than while Covid staffing was an issue. I dread having to record a document in this county.

If I could give 0 stars I would, the only professional is the very friendly security guard and gives good locations. I went to this place to legalize my business name, the person who assisted me was very rude he had no manners or patience to work with people. In my opinion, people like these should not have such an important role in this company. Anyone who works at a counter must have patience, good manners and professional ethics. I feel let down by this service even though this is one of the highest paid county offices. They should take matters into their own hands regarding the service they offer. These employees must be trained to have better relationships with the people who visit there.

I was just there and you have to do it all by mail you can look it up online don't call. They've had a virus attack and everything including the phone systems are down, even the copy machines are down because they're connected to Wi-Fi. You can look up whatever you need online and put Suffolk county and search for your business needs.

I do not know the fees, as the doc needs to be looked at . As far as getting it back ...address that when u call ..being that they are working with a very limited staff , could be sometime. You have to pay your judgement to the atty to satisfy the amount. The atty or whom ever represents the creditor will in turn send a sat of judgement to the county clerk's office for satisfaction. Make sure you get a payoff notice for yourself!

You have to goto the clerks office to search or call the town where Hampton Bays is South or East and ask for the 19 digit tax id # it would start with 0300 or 0900 depending on the Town and then you can search on the clerk's online search
