It may be due to insurance purposes and that there is not EMS on scene when an injury occurs that they may not allow an individual to race around the track.
During the season there are two ambulances in the pit area watching over the entire area just in case someone has a medical issue. Rusty Wallace Experience (they rent the track) also has EMS there while there is racing.
If you come with just yourself there is no EMS. Also there are many safety devices that you must have in your car to race (different divisions need certain devices for safety). One example would be a roll cage. Another would be a hole in the hood just in case the engine goes on fire so that a nozzle from a fire extinguisher could go in and put out the fire. The division that you can do is the enduros, as that is pretty much open to anyone but again look at the website for things that must be done to the car.
You can call up and ask if you have other questions.
Are you a beginner racer?
Kind of a dumb question, I’m not very educated on the track itself, but is it open for public use? Obviously not for free but can you use it for recreationally with your own vehicle?
I did call and leave a message I'm still waiting see if he will call back maybe tomorrow but if you ask me they should write down on the website the time the races start and always a rain date cuz I can't find one for tomorrow's race
Depends on the Saturday and if they're having a big race like the Islip 300 or Whelan Tour race but usually, this year anyways, it's been 6:30 qualifying and 7pm opening ceremonies! If you Google Riverhead Raceway there's a race schedule for the remainder of the season! Hope this helps?! 😁😉
Hello ! Do you happen to carry VP racing fuel at the track ? I would be looking for a 55 gallon drum of C12. Sure wish someone on the island would stock it. Would appreciate a quick answer as time is short . Thank you !
