It may be due to insurance purposes and that there is not EMS on scene when an injury occurs that they may not allow an individual to race around the track. During the season there are two ambulances in the pit area watching over the entire area just in case someone has a medical issue. Rusty Wallace Experience (they rent the track) also has EMS there while there is racing. If you come with just yourself there is no EMS. Also there are many safety devices that you must have in your car to race (different divisions need certain devices for safety). One example would be a roll cage. Another would be a hole in the hood just in case the engine goes on fire so that a nozzle from a fire extinguisher could go in and put out the fire. The division that you can do is the enduros, as that is pretty much open to anyone but again look at the website for things that must be done to the car. You can call up and ask if you have other questions. Are you a beginner racer?
You would probably need to call the track office. I don't know if they do track rentals, or if they would rent for someone to drive their personal vehicle.
