Waste of time! Wait, Wait, Wait. What a terrible system.
Sarah Du Plessis
Disgusting that all these white men get to decide the laws in regards to woman’s bodies. This isn’t a democracy but rather an evil body of people trying to ban a basic right of reproductive care for woman. The Supreme Court should be disgusted with themselves and ashamed. You will regret the day you overturned roe v wade. God cannot protect you

The worst. Jury duty is never pleasant but here they waste people's time more then usual!! A guy comes in barely speaks english doesnt even understand paperwork to fill it out but yet they tell him to sit and wait until he is called and wait for the lawyers to decide if he can be dismissed!! Are you kidding me! What good of a jury can the poor guy be if he doesnt understand english!

The cafeteria and vending machines are closed due to covid. There's a good pizza place about 5 minutes away. Check Google maps.
I believe it is closed today.
Not really the kind of law I handle. Your best bet would be to start at the Clerk's office, just across the river, closer to the Jail and the courthouse on that side (just off 24).
I believe the County Clerk's office next to the Surrogates court would record such data.
Yes, go to the 4th floor library and they will guide you through the process of an uncontested divorce
Most likely online. The old fashioned way is starting at County Clerk, they will take your check and stamp the RJI. Anything else happens across the River at the Supreme Building. But it depends on if you have a Motion or a PC request?
You go to the county center for name changes. 210 center Dr riverhead
Parking is best by the Railroad station on Court Street, which has best access to main north enterance. Keep in mind there is a check point with magnetometers.
First of all, I’m sorry. It’s a difficult thing to navigate. You can print paperwork online using NYS Courts Free DIY Forms or go to the Law Library at Riverhead County Clerk at 310 Center Drive, Riverhead, NY 11901 OR at Central Islip County Clerk 400 Carleton Avenue, Central Islip, NY 11722 (whichever is closest for you, just be prepared to wait to speak to someone there). The first form you need is the Summons With Notice, make 2 copies after signed, file it either at Riverhead or Central Islip and then pay to get an index number ($210 cash or check), there is another form called Verified Complaint which needs to be signed and notarized, make copies, then file. I’m not sure what you do if you cannot find the former spouse. I had a voluntary agreeable situation so he signed Affadavit of Defendent form but you may need the Affadavit of Service form. Someone at the law library can walk you through it all, you just need a lot of time to spend there.
In the back where the handicap parking is
If officially filed, County clerks office. Riverhead
I was told it is because there is only one judge who signed for uncontested divorces, whereas there are multiple judges signing for the contested ones. Mine ended up being signed 5 months from submitting and took another couple of weeks to get sent to Riverhead County Clerk from Central Islip Supreme Court, but nobody notified me of this, so call.
