First time here didn't know what to expect. Wasn't disappointed. Grill wasn't hot enough to start but got hotter. Bacon wrapped filet was melt in your mouth. Service was exemplary. With Callie we didn't want for anything. She was great.

Best steakhouse in Iowa - have been coming here since high school and the quality has always stayed amazing. Very simple menu. Absolutely cannot go wrong with any choice. Grill your own steaks over a huge charcoal grate.

This was my first time to Rube's & I have to say I was very impressed. While I'm normally not big on the "grill your own steak" places the atmosphere & the setup were phenomenal. The steaks were good, the fried potatoes were perfect, & the house creamy parmesan dressing was great. The grilling area was kept immaculately clean & they did a good job of making sure everyone was kept socially distant from each other.

Thanks for asking! We've taken many precautions to keep our guests and team safe. Here are a few of them: - We follow the state of Iowa regulations concerning distancing, group size at each table, masks, etc. -Staff wears masks at all times -Guests must comply with state mask regulations -Frequent sanitization -Reservations to help with flow of guests and prevent crowding -Proper distancing between tables -One group at the meat counter at a time -Grill is split into four sections. Guests are assigned a section. We very carefully plan/time numbers of people at the grill to reduce crowding and allow for a fantastic grilling experience -Sanitized grill supplies are given to each group (no sharing) and sanitized after each use -Salads are plated and brought to the table. We essentially bring the "salad bar" to you! -QR code to view menus online -A happy staff that works as a team to help make your Rube's experience safe and enjoyable!
Yes all thier steaks are available to take home to cook. You can even order them online and shipped to you.
Yes! Order online or pick up. Either way, you'll be set with some of the tastiest steaks ever! They ship anywhere I think.
The actual store has been closed and those items are now sold at the restaurant. Also they do have a website and will ship orders. You can stop by the Montour location as early as 10am on Wed,Thu,and Friday other than that they are open during regular restraunt hours.
I don't believe reservations are required call to double check, as far as the prices look at the menu they have online its expensive but its well worth it. it best steak I have ever had very fresh
