Awesome experience. Not a bad walk, lots of cool things to try to see in the cave. Highly recommend.

Beautiful cool cave. They also have other caves with spelunking if you apply for a permit. Camping is available and they even have a cave campsite if you reserve ahead of time.

Great place for camping and exploring. The sights are beautiful, it almost feels like I left Oklahoma. I recommend visiting.

Loved our day at the Caverns. We didn't take the tour into the Caverns but took trails to 3 different caves within the park! Don't go on hot day unless you carry plenty of water! Some of the trails are not for the faint of heart.

The guided tour cave is not long due to a cave in that occurred late last year. However the wild caving option allows you to explore on your own. These range from easy to difficult and you will get muddy. They range from a few hundred feet to around 1500+.
Be sure and bring your quarters for the shower. The bathrooms are are kept very clean

Yes! :) You may not be able to enjoy the playground or other features around the cave as much, but we visited yesterday after 2 days of rain and the cave was perfectly fine. One of our kids asked if rain was ever a problem with the cave flooding and the tour guide explained that rain very rarely affects the cave (she could only think of one time and that was a record breaking year for rain).
No pool.
I think it 8 or 10 per if I'm not mistaken. Keep in mind that around 80 percent is caved in and not accessible. We were only in for around 20 min.
When I went, there was a 60+ year old with us. He did just fine, and he was recovering from total knee replacement. It does have some slippery parts, and slopes and some stairs. I would rate it at a 5, possibly a 6 depending on her tolerance for mobility. The hardest part I consider were going in and out.
Yes, there are quite a few trails. Definitely plan on hiking the trails if you make the drive. Otherwise, the caverns by themselves were not worth it to me. Have fun. They did have a cave in prior to me going there, so we could not do the whole cavern. Call ahead to make sure they fixed that. It was due to the storms, nothing fatal.
They're open all year round! The cave keeps a constant temperature of about 60 degrees regardless of outside weather, so they dont close.
For the big cavern, it's a guided tour only. For the wild caving, it's on your own- but special rules apply. And you have to have special equipment
This is a state park, so removing any rocks you find would be highly illegal.
Not in the cave, but there is a LOT of area to hike and my Corgi loved it!
Yes you will be fine to drive your sedan. They have a place for parking at the gift shop. Then they take you to the Cavern in their Van, tours are done on the Hour! Bring a sweater because as you decend into the Cavern it cools off quickly it was 57• in the Cavern when we went into it & is was 90° outside. Also just wanted to say I suffer from Anxiety & Claustrophobia, so I was worried about going into a cave.....but it was awesome very open & I didn't have an attack!!
Yes
It's open every day but Thanksgiving and Christmas
We went on a Sunday around noon, there was not that many people.
No
If you have made a reservation then there is not really a time. Just pull into your spot.
One of the entrances was blocked by a big rock. Too bad that it was the entrance with the most beautiful view of the canyon. Besides that the tours continue all what you do is a round trip and the tour is still very interesting and informative. Make sure you go and see the canyon by the entrance that was blocked by the huge rock.
No. But they have a outside kennel with a water dish.
Long as there's no burn band and preferably outside the tent. Lol
Nice sites plenty of room don't think you will need reservation since it's off the beaten path.
There is also tent camping only on the road down from the rangers station that is wooded
They have a very small selection of small helmets, the Walmart in Woodward may have hard hats you can attach lights to.
I have stayed at the Canyon Cedar lodge and it is nice! The rooms are big and there is a large glass sliding door that looks out towards the caverns area and is very scenic!
Guided tours. Going on your own could be dangerous. You won't know where all the lights are, guides have to turn them on for you and they only stay on so long.
I believe so. You can always call them and check.
Not for sure on 50. 30 yes
