Wonderful place to explore by foot, bike, or ORV (on 4x4 Beach). Get a pass and take advantage of the great excursions you and your family can enjoy. Take out what you bring in. Keep it beautiful.

This place is leaps and bounds better than the north end. The driving is technical and a shade diverse. Air down folks it’ll save you. State park so no alcohol and I think that may have kept some of the bad apples away. Bummer that there isn’t beach camping during summer seasons as I like to do the night surf fishing. But during the off season, access is 24/7. I took off one star due to the very sharp rise in price. This is a bad idea. But they are either trying to keep up with freeman park or are attempting to weed out those with either less cash or just attempt to keep some riffraff out. Either way, I don’t agree. In the end. My family likes it here so much better.

Great place. Lifeguards on duty, showers to keep sand out of your car. The Aquarium was awesome, we ended up becoming members and can't wait to see the other facilities as well.

Fort Fisher is beautiful. Here they have bathrooms. Sometimes snack bar is open. Events. Halloween events. Kite festival. Not crowded like Carolina Beach. Not too many fishermen like Kure Beach. Check for dates dogs allowed on beach. Lifeguard. Not the best surfing area because of sandbars.
