High shipping cost plus other fees keeps me as a online bidder on the sidelines.

I was a happy customer until recently. There were a couple items that had undisclosed issues/poor descriptions but this can happen. Recently however I had a very disappointing experience. I changed my payment method for an auction. I have a low daily limit on my check card and wanted to make a larger purchase. The night of the auction I was traveling home and found myself unable to buy gas. I would later find that my wife was also unable to pay her bill at a restaurant. My bank was closed but online I was able to see that Cabin Fever had attempted to bill the card I thought was removed. I called expecting an answering machine and reached Jared. He didn't seem too concerned about my predicament but did inform me that I should have listed the card I wanted billed. Well I had done that. He said call in the morning. I called in the morning explaining that the wrong card had been charged and he said no problem, the charge had gone through on the correct card. Ok. Later that morning I realized it was still the same incorrect card charged. I emailed again, upset, stating they have no right to charge a card I didn't authorize and to refund and charge the correct one. They refused and told me to read their terms. I did. I informed them their terms state that the card used at each auction registration will be charged and no other. I two separate paragraphs mind you. I informed Jared and he told me not to lecture him and refunded my money but will not charge the correct card or send my items. I never cussed at him or lied to him. I did say if they didn't correct their mistake I would cease doing business and I was disappointed about being lied to and disrespected. But I never said I didn't want my items which upon payment were legally mine. I did call him a liar because he is. He said he never spoke to me on the phone. Lie. He said his auction terms give him the right to charge any card he chooses. Lie. As a customer the only card you can see on file is the one you register with. You would have no idea that another card would be used. You would assume they would just follow the terms they wrote quite clearly. This to me is no different than going into my wallet and taking what you wish. I was left without gas money, my wife was embarrassed, and Jared's solution to this is to tell me I shouldn't lecture him (by telling him the facts) and he no longer wants to do business. Beware on a man that won't respect his own written terms. He obviously won't respect a customer either. I wish them no ill will. I was disappointed that I'm no longer allowed this market because i spoke the truth . But now I've washed my hands and have no cares either way. Hopefully by exposing these truths other customers will be afforded enough respect to have their wishes followed and Cabin Fever will take their own terms seriously.

Promise a lot but don’t deliver. Failed to list items correctly and refused to correct. Sales prices reflected their failure.

Questions & Answers

I have a pickup scheduled for 12:30 Tuesday, August 17. I will be picking up a total of 132 pieces. Here's my question: will these units be collected into larger boxes for transport or will they be 132 individual boxes?

Individual boxes so that you can check them. Please bring additional packing for pick up. Thanks

Do you auction off baseball, basketball, various sports cards

Peggy, While we do not specifically focus on sports memorabilia, we do sell it when we have it. Like many things, the more common and lesser significant items are harder to sell and often don't bring a lot and the better items do well. We are happy to discuss with you to see if we can help you. Thanks! Cabin Fever Auctions
