Short easy hike along the creek with several streams feeding into it. The falls at the end of the trail are spectacular! It was crowded when we went (June ‘22) but no issues parking along the road.

Beautiful scenic trail that follows a stream to the bottom of an impressive waterfall. The trail is well cared for and even has benches, railings and a stair case.

Awesome easy walk, beautiful views. My wife and I took our dogs. They enjoyed it very much as well. Great place to camp or get out for a stroll. My Tannah and I being goofy in the pic. She loved the swimming holes, but we all enjoyed it a lot.

Very beautiful waterfall for a short stroll. My Garmin calculated .7 miles round trip. There is a nice little boardwalk at the end for viewing or you can veer to the stairs on the right to get closer to the falls and even walk up to the falls for a small scramble. Easy hike for a great reward and it can be done by all ages. The elevation gain was very minimal and there are benches along the way.

Go for it. You might have some extra guest, being it's a fairly popular public place but I'm sure there's been much more difficult shotgun weddings. Pick a weekday before summer to better your chances of less foot traffic.
It would be easy for a stroller as long as you have one with inflatable wheels. Little more difficult with those plastic wheels.
Only thing I encountered on the trail was about 100 spider webs. You are good though, I cleared them all out with my face....
About 1/2 hour at most. A cane or walking stick is helpful. There's several benches & logs to sit and take a break. There are about 8 steps that are not too strenuous. I have a bad knee and was able to do the trail taking my time. It's worth the journey because I can't get to many falls with my limited mobility. There's a beautiful overlook if you can't do the entire trail. Enjoy!!!!
No picnic tables. It's a in and out trail, easy hike. Took my two miniature dachshund pups
I'm not sure when Mr.Tippett was there visiting but my daughter, her 2 kids and myself went for the first time about 2 weeks ago. It looked like some of the recent storms had blown down trees and washed places in the trail. There were quite a few roots and rocks I feel would make the trail difficult for a wheelchair. A Walker or crutches would not fair much better as there is tree down at what appears to be a previous part of the trail. The trail has be re-routed in a long snake like shape to get to the overlook. That part of the trail is very uneven in places. It could cause a wheelchair or walker to tilt over. It is a beautiful waterfall with a serene walk through the forest. My grandkids had a blast. They climbed on rocks, stuck their hands in the creek and were in awe of the mountain and waterfall being soooo tall. :) I hope this helps. I hope you figure a way to see this amazing falls.
Not sure about the history. I've only visited once. Maybe the sasquatch will teach them a lesson. LoL
I didn't see any swimming places but lots of places to splash about and have fun.
It gets its name from The Creek in that area Toms Creek. Most of the locals know it is Woodlawn Falls.
