Thereβs a good mix of action on the pier. spacious free parking lot are well lit for nighttime fishing and are open to the public free of charge on a year-round basis.youβll find plenty of fluke, bluefish, snappers, school stripers, weakfish, kingfish, blackfish and blowfish . The L shaped pier is neat and clean also .

Check out the new bait and tackle spot right here on Long Beach Municipal pier that just opened up
Yes. Some crabs too. Bathroom in park next door or ice rink
Take the train to the Long Beach station two blocks from the Long Beach station which is Magnolia is where the fishing pier is
Crabbing is not great there's a few if the spider crabs aren't around. I've also caught a few stone crabs
The Algeria is not too far away...but it is not cheap and their reviews are shoddy.
Saltwater yes it's free online
Fishing is definitely great at this pier, mainly fluke comes up during this time in the summer, and now they have a bait store that just opened on the pier, there's also a playground for kids and bathrooms within the area, parking is also within reach, I highly recommend visiting and take friends/family out to try. I know I enjoyed my first time out here and kept coming back.
No you just need your regular saltwater license.
Fishing is definitely great at this pier, mainly fluke comes up during this time in the summer, but there's been other fish coming up too, and now they have a bait store that just opened on the pier, there's also a playground for kids and bathrooms within the area, parking is also within reach, I highly recommend visiting and take friends/family out to try. As far as residency, not needed, just all that is asked is to keep things clean, respect, with warm welcoming vibes, and obey the fishing size regulations. You'll have a great time! :)
Fishing regulations depending on size and type of fish
Open parking lot on a first come basis
Like anywhere around, only you can use restroom near by and your car will be 100 yards out of you,
They were very thick like 3 weeks ago now it's really slow like or or two hear and there
By the way, although this question was posted years ago, there's a new tackle store that opened up Summer 2022, magnolia pier bait & tackle, right on the pier, and the prices are affordable, they also have a great of assortment of things
No, this is bayside.
Mixed . Fluke, striper, blues
Now they have a bait store that just opened on the pier, the opportunities are endless, been catching alot of fluke this summer
Yes parkin for anyone. But they still have the tiny sign stating it's closed from 10 pm to 6 am. But I'm told no one gets bothered anymore. Mainly if no one makes noise no one gets bothered
You need a New York state saltwater fishing license that you can obtain online at the New York State website. There are a few bait shops not really that close but you can look up online bait shops in Long Beach or Island Park.
I always went around new years down to magnoila peirs
You can go fishing and there is a new bait shop on the pier. There are restrooms and parking. You and whoever comes will have fun.
