I wasn’t super impressed. The shop is not what it appears to be. It may be a management issue. I drove more than an hour away to go to this salon because the reviews seemed promising. I chose the Sandy Springs location over the Smyrna one because when I called the Smyrna location the woman who answered was very unprofessional and rude (multiple times). The front desk attendant Mahogany at Sandy Springs is professional and sweet so I figured I’d have a better chance having a good experience there. None the less, I arrived at my appointment on time at 1pm but didn’t get in the seat until 2:15. *I think it’s unfair to charge a customer a fee if they are late but if they are on time and the stylist is late getting to them, there’s no compensation/discount for that. That’s unbalanced accountability. The experience overall was less than par. The salon was unkept, the music was ratchet when I fist got there but it was changed later. Maybe in 2022 the standard has dwindled and that isn’t an issue for most but for me, it is. Music should be kept neutral. It’s offensive to think because the salon is geared toward black women, we all want to listen to Cardi B and others talking about the nastiest, saddest things…I wish I had brought my headphones. My hair was ok. I thought the cut could have definitely been more precise. It was a short bob but it wasn’t even and a bit choppy in some places. My stylist was nice. I won’t be returning.

I'm so glad I found Perfect Distraction. My regular stylist canceled on me last minute and I needed my hair done bc I was going out of town for work. A friend referred Perfect Distraction and I booked a silk press and trim with Aisha. I'm so glad I did. She recommended a hydration treatment because my hair was dry. She was welcoming and professional. My hair was silky, soft, and bouncy when I left. I rebooked with in another 6 weeks.

This is an amazing salon!! The atmosphere is so pleasant and the relationships among the stylists is GREAT!!They are so supportive of each other and their clients. My stylist is Jay and she knows hair! I greatly appreciate the care and advice she gives me to maintain or should I say acquire healthy hair! She takes her time and explains each step with me. I can honestly say my hair has not been this healthy in a long time! I was sold when she literally scratched my scalp😉! You can’t go wrong whom ever your stylist is at PERFECT DISTRACTION HAIR SALON!!!
