Did a show in the twins city for the firs time and was impressed on how clean it was. Union people are nice and the facility overall was excellent. However, for our industry (printing) it seems our customers prefer Chicago as there are nightlife and unlimited restaurants in Chi-Town!

huge convention center with like 600 entrances and weirdly hard to orient, but easy to get to and has lots of great food, shopping, and activities all around it.

Easy access from skywalk or street. Ladies restroom clean with hot water and soap. No long lines. Two food venues really saved the day we didn't have to leave out for food or beverages. Courteous staff.

Came to check out the annual boat show. Large enough space to fit a ton of boats into and host other conferences and shows. Have also come here in the past for other manufacturing and engineering conferences for networking and finding vendors.

The dinosaurs trek time start March 2- 4 and the show times are Friday. 2pm - 8pm Sat/Sun. 9am - 7pm
Question how much do you want to pay. Parking east side of convention center. Parking ramp 9th St between Nicollet and Marquette. No cheap parking. I park south of 94 on street. Mid day no problem. Late pm parking ramps. Parking next to hotel on Nicollet and Grant. Good location short distance from convention center. Parking ramp with skyway 10th and Marquette. Many locations.
It depends on where you park and where your event's registration area is. I recommend giving yourself at least 10-15 minutes
There is a parking ramp with multiple entrance just across the street from the convention center.
Government plaza is the closest if you want to walk, Nicollet if you want to take a bus that stops right in front.
I took I-94 to N 4th Street following until taking a right on 3rd Ave S. Just as you start looping around the convention center (on your right) there will be a ramp and a surface lot on your left with easy access and free parking for Covid services. I'm sure there are shorter ways but for folks that don't get to the "cities" often this was very easy and comfortable
There is public parkingAcross the street from the Minneapolis Convention Center, on 2nd Avenue South, is an underground ramp that is connected by a climate-controlled skyway system to the Minneapolis Convention Center and several downtown accommodations and attractions. 117 South 12th Street Minneapolis, MN 55403 Entrance 12th Street, 2nd Aven
There is no free parking though. There is handicapped parking and access to the elevator but again parking is not free.
Cost varies greatly. I've seen free events and events well over $100 per person. Depends on the event and the time of year.
It's a public building, the only thing that would restrict your right would be the promoters of the event. Their event, their wants for security. I don't have reciprocity so I could only visually pick out the carriers at the events when I was there and be jealous.
There often are metal detectors to get into the main show area though.
There is a medic station by the Dun Bros coffee shop and there were wheelchairs and scooters in there. Im nit sure if you can rent or borrow them, but it never hurts to ask
Not really. Just a conga line to get in.
On the blue line, come off at Government Plaza Station. It's about 15 minute walk.
There's a lot that has tiered rates per time (I think it was $6 for one hour, $10 for 2-3 hours, etc) right acrossthe street by the church. Stay out of the spots that are church-goers only though. Justparked there a week ago.
For height you should be ok by 1 inch... For width in not sure... Just avoid the compact parking spots. Hope that helps.
Yes, $2 per coat
Yes, you can buy tickets on site. I'm working security for the Super Bowl Experience
No bag is to big
In the building...yes. In the hallways outside the exhibit halls...yes. possibly not allowed once in the exhibit hall
Not regularly accessible. Only open during events, to event patrons. The Craft Bar and Grill is scheduled in relation to events, otherwise a couple vending machines, and Dunn Brothers Coffee shop is usually open 0700-1700
I agree, you need specific information, which you can only get from the convention center staff. Call.
Easiest way I know how to get to the convention center would be to take Lyndale exit after the 4th downtown Street exit and sneak up in the back side should be able to 10 South off of Lake Grant or 11th Street thing that brings you right into the convention center depending on which way you're coming in that would be 94 East
Parking is easy to find at the conveniently located Minneapolis Convention Center. Across the street from the MCC is an underground ramp that is connected by a climate-controlled skyway system to the MCC and several downtown accommodations and attractions. Within easy walking distance of the MCC there are a dozen parking ramps, most connected to the MCC by skyway. Hope this helps!
There are many areas for using your own laptop computer. They do not have computers for you to use like an internet cafe. There are areas that have tables to sit at, areas to stand at high top tables, benches along corridors to use and plenty of plugins in little secluded nooks!
