John Smith is not far off - for 2 for Sunday brunch (with some embellishment), US$420. That said, it was a grand experience for me and my guest.

Clean/new sneakers should be acceptable. The general rule is to dress cocktail chic - if the sneakers fit a nice look, then it should be OK. If you look like you are going to the gym, it will likely not be OK. All decisions are at the discretion of our managers and staff.

For Rainbow Room, we are mostly a private event space so that would depend on the event. For our cocktail lounge, Bar SixtyFive, yes you must be 21 or older. We do not serve alcohol to minors according to the law.

For events at our cocktail lounge Bar SixtyFive, the dress is smart casual. For events in the Rainbow Room, dress according to the occasion.

Hello Mary, yes you may join us just for cocktails. You can do this on a walk-in basis, though depending on the time of year, you may have you wait in our mezzanine lobby to get in, so come early. Our dress code is smart casual.

I would say around sun set as you can watch the darkness falls and brings it more to light in a sense. Also the out door be open so get same views but less tourism but local with $$ pushing you around.. as we had that experience

Hi Kathleen, we're not sure what these other users mean by renting the Rainbow Room, but we definitely planning on being open for New Year's Eve. We have done it for a few years now and it is always a ticketed event. Separately, if you did want to book a private event in the Rainbow Room, you could do that as well on another evening.
