Clean/new sneakers should be acceptable. The general rule is to dress cocktail chic - if the sneakers fit a nice look, then it should be OK. If you look like you are going to the gym, it will likely not be OK. All decisions are at the discretion of our managers and staff.
To answer myself: I would say yes and no. Not required to be dressed up (no suit required etc) but whole and clean clothes are required. To set the level: Clean sneakers should be ok but paired with a hoodie and it's a bit more on the limit :)
