Based on the reviews I decided to stay here. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Upon entering our room I noticed the cushions on the sofa bed were stained and had crumbs from a previous guest all over them. Next the remote didn't work on the TV. Neither of which would of warranted me posting this negative review. It wasn't until after 1am when we were finally going to sleep after driving 10hours that I was double checking the bed and saw a bed bug crawling next to my sleeping child. I immediately went to the front desk and the girl was very apologetic. She was very helpful in calling around to try to find us a room in the area. Everything was fully booked. Finally we came across another location who had a guest that didn't show and at 2 am I had to repack our bags and take my family to a new hotel. The next day I called and spoke with the manager who honestly didn't seem to think it was that big of a deal. She offered me $50 credit or points to come back which I refused, she then said I could come and get some free drinks from them. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! Bed bugs can very easily travel home with you and are very costly to get rid of. $600 for a two night stay should ensure a clean and functional room.

Stayed one night while on vacation and would absolutely stay again in the future. Got in late the night we checked in, key cards were already programmed and waiting for us. Because it was a weeknight we were upgraded to an available suite with an in-room jacuzzi which was very nice! Room was clean and comfortable with a large bathroom. In the morning our checkout receipt was slipped under the door all we had to do was drop the key card at the desk. Breakfast was hot and had a decent selection.

Such a beautiful lobby, the room was great and very clean, and the staff were so friendly and funny :) we were originally only staying one day, but cancelled our other hotel to stay here two more days. Decent breakfast, good atmosphere. Right next to most things you could want too, which made it super convenient.

Something that many hotels fail majorly in is the way they neglect their guests' needs, especially with those that have almost made it their temporary "home" like me during my stay: room service not taking out the trash, not restocking, and even not enough staff. Well, I am here to say that the Comfort Suites of Williamsburg is not at all like these hotels I have described; rather, they are exceptional in all that they have been able to provide during my 18-night stay for business purposes before school, W&M, started. From the eye-catching, modern design in the gorgeous two-story hallway, to the rooms with a homey, contemporary feel, the design is all there. I was a bit confused when I stepped in the first day I was here, because I truly thought I was in the wrong place. "This can't possibly be the affordable 'budget' hotel that I booked," I thought to myself; but when I got up to the front desk and was greeted by Tim, the front desk manager, he assured me that I was in the right place, and kindly checked me in. Speaking of the staff, everybody that works here is top-notch and ultra-friendly. The gentleman I mentioned just now was personable and kind my entire stay, and never failed to strike up a conversation. True camaraderie like that was what made such a long stay like mine very pleasant; even the janitorial staff won't hesitate to greet you when you have to walk over the floor they just spotlessly polished. Now, one could of course throw a fit over the hot, daily breakfast not offering many selections and maybe being bland, but that really is overshadowed by the rest of the attributes this establishment offers; remember, they have a coffee and tea bar that is open all the time, which of course a busy fellow like myself utilized more than once a day. All in all, this whole branch of Comfort Suites, located walking distance from dining options like Golden Corral and Cracker Barrel, is a diamond in the rough; and maybe all Comfort Suites are like this, but if so, then I'll be staying at Choice Hotels, the owner of Comfort Suites, from now on. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat to anyone, especially for long stays; staying just one night might not be enough for you after seeing just how excellent the Williamsburg Comfort Suites is.
