I went to the Gorillaz concert and bought a row 4 pit *seat*. Come to find out when I got there they had just randomly changed it to general admission. Normally I would get there earlier if it was GA to wait in line to get a good spot/ would have just bought a normal seat if I’d known as I wanted *a seat* and not to have to stand for 4 hours to reserve the spot I payed highly to reserve with a chair. Because I didn’t have the reserved seat I got an average spot because I arrived late thinking I had a seat. I wasn’t able to wait in the 40 minute merch line before the show or else I would lose my spot and security was unwilling to assist in saving my spot for 5 minutes while I ran to the restroom which seems to me like the least the venue can do if they are gonna have a last minute switch. The point though is I payed over $125 more than I should have as the price changed once it became a pit. I feel ripped of and angry imagine if I bought the front row your telling me there would already be people on the barricade even though I would have payed the absorbent rate to reserve the spot? I wouldn’t want to be in that situation because are you really gonna be a “Karen” and request someone give up there front row spot, no that would be horrible it’s a lose-lose for everyone involved and one day the situation can and will arise. Completely unacceptable and the most expensive GA ticket I have payed for in my life. Hopefully Gorillaz will play the newly renovated Baltimore arena for their next tour so I won’t have to deal with this bait and switch of a venue. Also would it kill you to actually label the sections so the poor ushers don’t have to be asked ten-million times “which section is this?” Also imagine having only like 4 bathrooms for 19,000 people

Great place to see a concert

Coolers, picnic baskets, knapsacks, and tote bags — allowable, but are subject to inspection prior to entry. Note that food and beverages are available for purchase at the concession areas. Lawn chairs — allowable on the lawn only. Must be no higher than 36" from the ground. Taller or larger lawn chairs are restricted to the rear of the lawn seating areas of both stages. Tents, canopies, and beach umbrellas — allowable only in designated areas of the site. Tents and canopies are not allowed on the Pavilion Stage lawn. Tents and canopies may be no wider than 10 feet. All tents, canopies, and beach umbrellas must be removed at the end of each night's show. Any tents, canopies, or umbrellas left overnight will be removed and discarded.Beverages — Bottled water and soft drinks are allowed, provided they are in factory-sealed plastic bottles or cans. Glass bottles and alcoholic beverages may not be brought in.
Stiltskin you are funny!!!
Yes, since the stage is covered the show still continues during thunderstorms and heavy rain. They often give patrons the option to go back to their cars to get dry if it is heavy downpours but always check with the staff at the gate first before walking out. Only during tornado warnings would the show stop.
If you are on the lawn you can bring chairs
Rain or shine is deceptive. You think you're buying pavilion tickets to be protected from the elements. People who brought tickets under the pavilion who were rained heavily on should've received some type of reimbursement.
Shanice Chante Moore Stokely Sheila E. Tamia Eric Benet Bell Biv DeVoe ...opening act, Zo! & the Tall Guy featuring Devora Bond (sic) . Not sure of the spelling but she is REALLY GOOD!! She sounds like LaurynHill and ChakaKhan mixed 😋 😍 #ZoandtheTallGuy
Worth the risk to leave it.. leave a note on dash
Yes
You must call one on your own. Uber and Lyft work as well.
I do believe all the lots are walkable.
Pavilion is all seats. People usually have folding chairs for the lawn area which is directly behind the pavilion.
The parking lot i parked in, lot 4, had signs thay you cant tail gate :/ but i assume you can go around 5/530 and enjoy your favorite beverage ;)
That's a good one they have 11 different lots then overflow goes to mall lot. When you get your ticket you have 48hrs to get guaranteed parking pass after that have to pay more not get choice of lot. Since doing renovation rebuild there main lot tiny now best lot is lot 4 parking garage across street from venue if park on roof level you have to walk futher down steps then it is to venue literally across street lot5 good one to lot one be my 3rd pick have park on grass but if there a party in lot before hand as with phish that's the lot only 1.5 blocks away lot 5 1 block away IT IS NOT FREE TO PARK 15$ W/IN 48 HOUR OF BUYING TICKET ONLY WAY FREE TO PARK IS DAY OF EVENT TICKET NOT SOLD OUT BOUGHT AT VENUE SINCE THEY ADD PARKING TO THE COST OF TICKET WHEN BOUGHT THERE ABOUT SAME AS SERVICE FEES ARE.
Yeah. I was there about two weeks ago and I was with someone who had a vape and I saw several other people with them.

Depends on the event..some allow a small cooler or backpack
The best advice i can give you is to check the Merriweather site often.
You should be able to find them in purchase history.
We had chairs with canopys and umbrellas
Most events the answer is yes. It is probably worth checking the specifics of the event
Yes, chairs and blankets, might have to let be inspected by staff. But everyone had chairs and blankets. Even empty water bottles, they have refill stations.
Listed on Webpage for concert. Usually 1 hour before showtime. But check website.
Yes, including two within walking distance.
Yes. The office is located next to the stage
Howard county Recreation and Parks Wine Festival is what was there this weekend.
Nope
I would say that it depends on the event that is being held. I definitely check the website or contact the venue directly for clarification.
ID, Vaccine Card, or Negative Test (72 hours).
I believe there is hotel and shuttle
MPP crew member here. Any negative test within 72 hours is acceptable but is required to enter. Be aware though that AEG tours are requiring and only accepting proof of vaccinations only, and MPP has to follow the rules of the tour rider, so do your research, but the easiest thing to do is to just get your shot and avoid the stress altogether while keeping yourself, as well as the audience, crew, talent and employees safe.
Yup, was there last night 🤠🍻
You just show up and the venue will show you where the multiple parking spots are, there are no reserved parking locations
There's also plenty of ground level parking around the venue.
Gates open at 5:30 not sure about parking, I always just park in a parking garage
I parked on Northside of Merriweather Pavillion. Not sure if those lots are open for parking or if was just for M3 concert. The Pavillion is to your right across from the mall.
Use to be 10:30 pm. We came tosee Barbara Mandrel. She started her show late, for what ever reason, so was willing to stay late. But at exactly 10:30. Merriwether turned on the house lights and forced her to stop.
Not that I'm aware of. Next show is Aug 4th
I have no idea. I'm sorry.
They have a snack station there but yes you can
Also the way they redid some of the seating and Logistics stay put the sound people in the center about three-quarters of the way out but didn't adjust for the people behind them so you definitely don't want to be behind the sound crew
I've never been hassled there..
We had a small 20 seat bus and they wouldn't let us in to see the Christmas lights.
enter from Brokenland Pkwy
No outside alcohol is allowed. If you bring a bottle for water make sure it is empty or they will make you empty it. They have a water filling station but the water is lukewarm. Check their website for the show you are attending. Each show is different as to what is allowed. Sometimes it is due to the artist's policies and not MPP's policies for certain restrictions.
Yes, I would say from the first six rows and they have the "Sky Lawn" now. It is open to everyone and you can look down on the stage.
Yes clear plastic bag bottle
Not unless you have a medical reason if you plan on being in the lawn area plan on a blanket or a cushion
I did not have to for my concert. I parked on the parking lot at the event but if you get there too late and the lot is full then you'd have to pay at a parking structure
There are plenty of available handicap parking spaces close to the gate entrances to the venue. I'm certain that if you speak with one of the parking lot attendants, they will accommodate your needs.
Tailgated in lot 1 no issues. Like others above, no outside alcohol allowed in.
Dreamers just wrapped. Interrupters next.
You can bring both!
It's surrounded by a mall, shopping centers and office buildings
The venue is across from the mall and a suburban location. Lots of walking. Hotels are a short drive away. I stayed in an Airbnb near the airport.
I didn't see any shuttles. I parked close enough to walk however the parking attendant said shuttles were provided for the further parking spaces. Idk.
Make sure your drinks are sealed out they won't let them in
If you dont pay for covered seats be prepared to get wet!
There is always a lot available for anyone without a parking pass
They do have screens depending on show time with sunset it can be hard to see for sometime.
Nope. But places are close by if your in creative enough
I know they have a deal with Uber, but I'm not sure about taxis. I would guess so.
It's been pretty much completely renovated. There are multiple bathrooms; handicapped facilities as well.
There is no smoking of any kind allowed inside the venue. This is a Howard County law.
Try asking the venue.
If you go to the website you purchased the tickets from, they should have a little area to get parking passes.
Thats a negative. You can bring blankets to sit on though.
No!
Yes.
Park at the mall, only anout a 5 to 10 minute walk from there
Yes. One bottle of water unopened and food as long d it's in clear bag
There are lots that the venue uses all around the immediate area, Parking in these lots usually requires a ticket/pass.
There are several sections, not sure exactly how many seats but I would say several hundred at least. If you go on the Capitol Jazz website they had a picture of the venue. That should help answer your question.
No lockers! You set-up your area and that's it. If you leave take you wallet, celly and enjoy you stay.
Merriweather Post don't like for you to bring refreshments and snacks into their facility they don't mind water. You know how Corporate America is they want you to spend more money
8:25 pm
I would check their website. I do know that a search is conducted prior to entry into the pavilion
You would have to call to confirm. Some of the lots are actually parking garages that would not fit an RV.
A bunch of rebels! I love it!
They have designated parking garages.
They don't have space for RVs specifically, but you can probably park in a lesser lot if they don't have a show they night before.
Can someone please post a link to a site where I might be able to purchase a single day ticket? I've only found one site so far that even lists a single day pass and it simply shows No Tickets Available when you try to purchase one. They couldn't possibly be Sold Out, could they? Thank You
It's a short walk in the same park
Decent in the front grass area, I had no complaints when watching from there during an all day festival. The back of the lawn is pretty far away, it's okay but I would recommend getting there early enough to sit toward the front.
The Sheraton is the only one in walking distance. It's nice and in a great location. Mall, restaurants, and bars in walking distance as well.
You can check the merriweather site. It has a list of all scheduled shows
Agree with the above posts
No. But you can buy someone tickets and lrave them at Will Call. Assuming you knoe who they eamt to see
Check out there website, there are different events each week! The website is linked on this map page.
You can bring food and drinks just as long as they are in plastic containers. But No Alcohol!!!
