Spent 2 nights February. There's not as much to do in the winter, but we did enjoy easy hikes. The sites had picnic tables, fire pits, and a grill. The stars were amazing. They have an interesting, hands on nature center, and very clean bath houses.

Great place to stay, even in January. Had a good time. Nice sites with water and elect. Some have a little deck. Fun place for the kids with the lake, fishing dock, playground and kids trail. We enjoyed the dive coming in through the small towns as well.

I think it's 28 dollars a night
South end. Better roadways and more camping spaces. If privacy is required there are a few spots with neighbors not as close. Look up a map to see camping space numbers. Reserve your spot ahead of time. I live 7 miles away and spent 40 years going to the park. A wonderful place
I'm sure you can you can call him and ask him but I'm pretty sure you can.
Pamphlet doesn't show anything for ATVs. Canoeing and fishing. Birding and nature photography. Camping, hiking and picnicking. Louisiana State Arboretum for nature programs.
Yes, and the same rules apply at all the State Parks in Louisiana. It can reach up to half the enterance price. Please, don't forget to bring the proper identification.
There are no bike rentals at Chicot State Park.
To my knowledge all they have is paddle boats but I could be wrong!
You do need a license or permit to fish in Louisiana its 10.00 unless your i believe 63 years old an over only 5.00 good for ( 1 )year. The park fee is a (2) couple dollars . Hope info helps. Enjoy the Park, it's Awesome....
The website did tell you the rates at one time
Rent 2 some of them are side by side and share the same access ways and wharfs
I don't think so
We were in the cabin December 16th and 17th, we talked to a number of other people who were there for just a night or two. Prices for the cabins are listed on the website. They also have campsites for campers and tent sites.
It was dark and cloudy both nights, but absolutely no light pollution in sight!
200 to 300 hundred I believe
Check the website or call the park to check on availability of cabins.
Whatever you wish to do. You may also keep and fry up your fish
Yes there are two pavilions. They are 70 person and a 100 person capacities. Costs are $70 and $120 respectively. Here's a link. https://www.reserveamerica.com/explore/chicot-state-park/LA/240027/campsites?lookingFor=9001&pageNumber=0
Cabins 6 and 7 are ADA accessible, but you have to call to book them. The park staff also could answer any questions that you might have about the cabins.
The catfish is big especially on the east side of the lake, and of course, you would need a boat to get to the cypress area.
No
I'm not sure about tourd, bit they do have very nice cabins for a fair price
Call customer service
Id call them. Early check in usually depends on how busy they are and if someone used the site the night before. Also check for ticks while hiking. Found 2 on me.
Yes tents are welcome they also have power and restrooms nearby
Yes and very nice. Definitely better than we expected. Not traditional wood, but appearing to be stained. Nice and spacious... expect to be in a hotel/ home type setting.
Free but a $3 a head day pass is needed to get in park
$28/night, Fri-Sat $25/night, Sun-Thurs, Apr-Sept $20/night, Sun-Thurs, Oct-Mar
Don't. know only went for a day pass $3.00 per person
Depends on what you call 'full.' Few if any sites have septic, but most all have water & electric.
Le Grand Hoo-Rah. April 20 - 21, 2018 (dance bands) · Balfa Week. April 21 - 26, 2018 (music instruction and jams)
Probably best to just call and find out, as I believe reservations are required anyhow.
