Wish you could walk out but absolutely worth the stop.

Very disappointing that access is blocked by a Navy base. Not worth going out of your way to see unless you just want a picture from outside the gates.

What can we say, it’s a beautiful lighthouse. Was bummed that it was locked behind a military gate. If we could have been able to get to actually see it from the front view, definitely would have given five stars. The only views we could get were from the road and down on the rocky shore, which were partially blocked by all the trees, so that’s the main reason for only 3 stars.

I love walking on the shore out here while the tide is out.

Questions & Answers

Cannot get to the lighthouse as it is now a US Naval Support Station, and access is restricted to Naval Personnel... :-(

This lighthouse is part of the boat tour that leaves from Bar Harbor too. You'll be able to get a better view that way :)
