Wonderful place to watch people fishing and family hanging out on the pier. The view of the beach are fabulous. Most exciting thing was when the fisherman caught big Great Jacks and saw sharks.

Sexy women everywhere. Beach very clean. Thong bikinis allowed. Volleyball nets. Seashells. Big ocean miles long with life guards on duty. Friendly environment. Alcohol not allowed on the beach. Lots of police. Will go back someday. I really enjoyed myself here.

We visited for spring break and delighted to see that it was not crowded like we anticipated. The weather was 75-80⁰ during the day and 60⁰at night. It was warm enough for shorts and t- shirt daily then a light jacket at night. The Gulf was cool but enjoyable after warming up in the sun. The water had small waves that my 8 and 9 yr old girls had a blast with! Plenty of eateries close by to walk straight from the beach to a bite to eat! It is fun for all ages!

Beautiful clean white sandy beach. Not as many sea shells as Cotton Bayou but how am I supposed to know what a reasonable amount of shells one should expect at any beach. What I'm trying to say is this was a nice beach and we had lots of fun spending the day building sand castles and running into the waves. I'm certain you will too!
Yes but there are some restrictions "Tents and shelters larger than 7 feet by 7 feet and taller than 4 feet are not allowed on public beaches. Individual property owners may allow tents and shelters on private property north of the City of Gulf Shores pole markers provided."
If you go to the end of 59 where it deadends into the beach road and turn right at the light...go down a short ways on the left and there's a huge pay parking lot right on the beach...i was just down there a couple of weeks ago and there seemed to be plenty of space to park most anything
Yes they are! Follow link below for updated information.

No you do not. And dont bring alcohol with you either it is banned something I wasnt aware of being from Florida. There are free public beach access points from Orange Beach all the way to Florida Perdido Key definitely worth checking out a few if you have time!!!
Could someone please help me by posting an address of a private beach or anywhere legal to pitch a tent over night? Or if anyone knows someone with beach front property that would be willing to rent me a spot on the beach for a night or two?

Booking.com has info on camping areas
Is there anywhere on the beach to pitch a tent?
Wanna take my family camping, and get my boys off of the Xbox. Lol I figure they would prefer the beach over the mountains where we live. Are there any private beaches that would allow it?

No camping on the beach. There's condos and hotels. Camping is a couple miles inland. Most campers are RV's and RV setup. There is a campground on State Rt 6 that is about 5 miles inland.
Yes. You can rinse of sand of of you or off of things you brought to the beach. Some have outdoor "showers" to rinse off at. Others have indoor ones so it's like a changing area too
You only have to pay to park at the big access places.. if you drive up the road there are several smaller access points that are free to park. Also there is parking across the road that is free.. you just have to cross the road to get to the beach...
There are a few free parking areas, not many. You will mostly find beach parking with pay stations that take exact cash or credit. The machines I found did not dispense change.
Unfortunately a couple beside us were asked to leave because they had a dog. It was done in a nice manner by a lifeguard, but it also means dogs aren't allowed.
Anytime of the day, check up on how the water is. We went during high tide and left within 20 minutes. It was way to rough, especially for small children. Low tide and afternoon early evening was our best time to go. Sharks do feed at dusk and Dawn just a heads up. They also come waste deep water.
Pretty sure you can smoke..I have. Just always clean up your mess. Littering there is taken very seriously..as it should be. Just be responsible. Enjoy.
I read on their web site that tents and shelters larger than 7 feet by 7 feet and taller than 4 feet are not allowed on public beaches. Individual property owners may allow tents and shelters on private property north of the City of Gulf Shores pole markers provided.
