This place is the terrible. My father was admitted to this facility for recovery and rehab after hip surgery. Within four hours of being admitted, he fell out of his bed and hit his head on the floor. The "nurse" who called me at 11:30 pm to tell me about the incident said my dad was found sitting on the floor as if he just decided to sit there. I asked if he had any further injuries and she lied to me saying he does not appear to be injured. The following morning he was sent to the ER to get scanned for his head and hip injuries. They should have sent him to the ER immediately. She also kept saying it happened during a "shift change" as an excuse for why it happened and the delay in discovering it. When I went to the facility to gather his things the next day, his wallet and cell phone were not in the bag they handed me. They left his wallet and cell phone in the night stand. When I went back to get it, his phone and wallet were still there but there was also a dinner fork in the drawer. Not clean at all, outdated and staff are totally not attentive. Stay away from this place.

My friend had his mother admitted to this facility after she suffered a stroke that left her very weak and unable to care for herself. He was very uneasy about bringing his mother to a SLF because they are a big family and knew they could intend to take care of their own among all of them. The physician and social worker recommended to have therapy and then they could take care back home. he agreed, when we visited he saw that the place has seen better days but the people who worked there are very caring for the Residents. Now that she is back home we know how hard is to take care of a loved one on your own. its very hard. My friend is always recommending people to this Alden poplar Creek facility. They have many multilingual employees. thanks for the hard work you do every day. you are heroes INDEED.

Outdated and needs upgrades. The call button is a light switch behind the bed where the patient can't reach so they drilled a hole in the switch, tied a piece of string through it and clip the other end to the patient's pajamas. Staff does not return phone calls, they are extremely understaffed. Took my father to an appointment across the street at lunch time, came back and asked where his lunch was and then told the kitchen is closed and no food would be available until 4:45PM. Seriously?! He's been in 3 different facilities in 5 months and this one is BY FAR the worst. Avoid. Also, notice they only respond to positive reviews here...
