We had United Structural Systems of Illinois, Inc complete a three push pier foundation stabilization project for us on our rear addition. They understood the problem we were faced with, were open to discussing the best possible solution, were professional and informative as well as competitive in pricing. The crew did a great job and were patient with any questions we had during the process. I would highly recommend this company, we were very satisfied.

Did not show up for estimate appointment or call to advise a reschedule. No call no show. Edit. I just want to note while the below response from is accurate, we did not get a call back until after the negative review was posted. Appointment was Monday, review was posted Tuesday, received a call back Wednesday. I work in logistics and can attest to scheduling mistakes, which I have made in the past. My frustration was the lack of a proactive courtesy call prior or on the day of the appointment. I will review your estimate and will contact you if we decide to go that route, thank you Rick.

I found a crack in the ceiling and got concerned. This promoted a google search and a call to a few professionals. USS was the first to come out. Rick is super knowledgeable. I showed him everything I could think of and he inspected many areas of the home and what it came down to was drought. I cancelled the others since no work is needed for repair or a serious issue. He didn’t try to sell me anything. I offered to pay him for his time. He politely declined. Great job. Highly recommend!

I had repairs done by USS almost 20 years ago. The work is still intact and has stood the test of time.

As with any other foundation, the foundation or slab that your garage sits on is prone to cracking, sinking, and settling. This can cause the columns in your garage to crack. Most often, garage columns have structural significance; usually serving as support between the multiple doors in a garage, these columns should be as stable as possible. But when the concrete slab beneath these columns sinks, the columns can get cracks that threaten the stability of the garage. For all your cracked garage column problems, USS has solutions in Chicago, Illinois! Give us a call today.
Yes! As soon as you notice a crack in your basement or crawlspace, call a concrete repair expert. If not addressed professionally, the cracks can typically grow larger resulting in a greater opportunity for more water seepage and damage to your home or the possibility of structural damage.
Yes we can! A leaking fireplace and chimney are unsightly, as well as dangerous, because they cause structural distress. Don’t ignore your leaning chimney. Hire a professional to assess your home for foundation problems.

Yes! We actually offer free foundation inspections. Give us a call to schedule yours!
Yes, particularly in situations where there is new construction in poorly-consolidated fill material or corrosive situations. Ultimate settling of soils under and around footings, grade beams and floors creates airspaces which can also collect water - providing a haven for rust and corrosion. Stand-alone structures supported on helical piers, such as walkways, docks and machine bases can leave exposed shafts vulnerable to corrosion at the ground line. In these situations, hot-dip galvanizing is a must. If your steel piering is engineered for your situation you can trust that you have a permanent engineered deep foundation.
