I give one star because they never answer when people need help. They have never answered me.

From working at many idhs in the state of Illinois as security and having snap and medical I believe there is a big disconnect between the client's and case workers, us as client's have to realise that these are people reading information from a screen that has been updated time and time again by you the client or the case worker they do not know your life story nor can they confirm if the statement you told is true every day they have to deal with people coming in and trying to crack or sell snap and client's giving false information I know everyone doesn't but you have to understand if they can't do anything 9/10 times they really can't no matter what they do it's the state that sends them rules and regulations they have to follow not to say there aren't lazy/rude case workers out there who won't do anything I've seen it being security walking around listening and seeing how they handle things you pick up on what they can and can't do in certain situations us as client's should understand that we need to keep are cards SAFE they aren't party favors you CAN NOT get a new card every week/month that looks suspicious on your part and they could cut you off in the process and no one wants that also to remember to keep up with your re determination date whether I get the letter in the mail or not I always know when I need to re determine because it's important if you didn't get the letter in the mail and you know it's coming up go to the office and get one fill it out and drop it off it's just that easy the system isn't perfect whether you trust me or not Ive worked with many federal and state building/workers and not everyone is made of stone not everyone enjoys seeing people who are on government assistance struggling to make ends meet or to get food to eat while they have to turn you away they do get upset that they have to in conclusion I believe 5 stars means perfection 3 stars is far most of works are fair and reasonable. are focus shouldn't rely so heavily on who's giving the service but the service it self and realise that government assistance will never be perfect client's and case workers won't always be 100℅ right, truthful and honest and it won't always workout in are favor we just have to try and seek out others options to provide health safety and substance and not let fear envy get the better of us.

This happens to everyone, you have to go in person. It sucks
It does that to me all the time. I think either someone is hanging up or they're really busy and not as excepting calls. I have gotten through before but normally it does just that to me
You have to go the office
You would still receive them.
They always hang up. If they don't want the job they are millions of people who do.
Call the will county office to be sure
All depends what you need. Wait in line, go to window n tell them why your there. They might have you wait to speak to 1 of the case workers at the side windows.
No, Just online but you'll get a fast response
Go in
they wont answer anyway per Springfield not in last 2 years
Sadly no
Yes metered parking
Possibly, there are income requirements but it's worth a try. It's usually a long wait so take a book and have your phone fully charged
8:30AM–5PM Monday hours Washington's Birthday might affect these hours Also they do open at 8am most times. It best to show up early to avoid being there to long.
You have to walk in, they don't answer phones
It can be done online.
Once in a great while, I'll get through to someone on the phone. I've never encountered anyone who was rude to me there, however, I have had to go back multiple times to get them to fix their mistakes... like kicking my kids off medicaid, one of them being a baby...
That's what it did to me, go to the office you'll save yourself a lot of time
Most likely, you can't. You can try calling, but odds are you wont get through. Very few times have I gotten through to speak to an actual person. You may get lucky though. Best bet is to go in. It sucks, I know, but that is the only sure way to speak to someone.
It should be. Is it a holiday?
Suggested...
Yes, any income is counted towards how much you receive
Opposite Side of stree twhere you see disable parking
Give them to me... Lol! But I'm pretty sure you can do that online somehow on the website where you manage your account or call the phone number on the back of your link card they should be able to help
They keep hanging up on me! I literally take my cell, my mom's cell, my dad's cell, my son's cell, & OUR HOME PHONE! I put all on speaker and wait at the least was 59 min 28 seconds and when I asked who I was speaking with she hung up on me! This has been going on WAY TOO LONG! I understand you have other parts of your job, but I guarantee customer service is one of them. I used to do medical billing and collections specifically for Medicaid, & those also were a pain ten the @$$! I think they need a few specific people JUST TO ANSWER CALLS. THAT BEING THEIR ONLY JOB. I got through last month by some miracle, & the wonderful polite woman that I spoke with told me to send my updated info to their local office in Joliet because when I sent anything to Springfield, of course it never received now I sent stuff to JJoliet but no answer They should havesomeone who can just answer calls I WILL DO IT I NEED A JOB!
Me too
Lucky you! How'd you get an answer? You're the only one on here that did. Or do we have to be male to rate?
