A really lovely NPS campground. It was pretty quiet when we were here, despite being full every night (seriously, this is the quietest full campground I've ever experienced) and the views are fantastic (especially from Loop C). We even saw a bull moose wandering through camp early one morning. Mostly of the campsites are well-spaced and either very or mostly private. Some, however are shared or have zero privacy, so check before you book. In August 2022, the shower house was out of order for remodeling, so we had to drive for showers (or sponge-bathe). Not the worst, but it was inconvenient. The biggest downside is that there's almost nothing to walk to. Other than the creek and the visitor center, you have to drive to anything interesting. Still, this is a great place to stay in Glacier.

Beautiful campground and amazing setting. However the staff and volunteers were terrible. We were hounded constantly by staff coming by to tell us that we had broken rules. Even waking our entire campsite (even my young kids and baby) up at 7:30 am to yell at us for leaving our hot dog sticks out over night. Over a two days stay they came by at least 6 or 7 times to lecture us on minor infractions. Like having a cooler of food out even though we were still at the campsite. We tried to have a discussion with the camp supervisor about these issues be we were not able to reach a resolution. It’s a shame, such a beautiful campground, but we will not be returning due to the poor treatment we received

The location is fabulous, at the feet of the mountains and near the information center. We stayed at loop C, which has a dump station for the RV, fresh water, flushing toilets, showers (not consistently heated, but warm nonetheless), and fire rings. Camping spots are well laid out.

Beautiful campsite in a great location. It would be slightly nicer if each site had its own bear box though. There’s also a super friendly stag named Charlie.

During the busy season absolutely. And it's probably good to make them a little in advance. Shoulder seasons it's probably less important. I don't know when or if they close during winter.
Yes, the campground itself is pet friendly. Just remember you cannot take dogs in National Park trails outside of the campground
