Great climbing for all levels! Jackson's Thumb was a 4pitch climb and even my 11 and 10 year old completed it! They have climbed before but not this high. It was quite an accomplishment.

Great granite blocks! Hikers will enjoy scrambling among them, and climbers recognize this place as among the highest concentrations of quality moderate trad routes in the country. Great place to acclimitize before heading to higher peaks. Hikers - please know your limits, the climbers you may see free soloing or roped climbing have trained in ways you haven't.

This place has a ton of hiking π₯Ύ trails and as most of you know, it has all levels of rock climbing. π§ββοΈ I, myself, do not do any climbing other than into my bed every night. ππ The rock formations are pretty cool. π Thereβs plenty of places to camp but Iβm not a camper either. π€·ββοΈSo we stayed in a hotel nearby. I just like to take pictures πΈof these beautiful sites and the adventurerβs. So, hereβs some of my photos.

The roads are completely toll free and shouldn't be closed at night. You do need to reserve and pay for campground spaces though if you plan on setting up tents or trailers.
You can ride anything there. Bicycles, motorcycles, at's etc...
The road to the upper city is closed due to road conditions not suitable for traffic. The road past bath rock is still covered with snow. Last weekend I got stuck at the campsite just west of the bath rock parking area.
We drove through in out our old 84 VA Vangon. It doesn't have a high clearence due to the propane tank mounted on the bottom. We had to drive slow, especially in some spots but we made it through just fine.
use your GPS to go to Malta, Idaho. there are signs everywhere to get there from there
According to their website: there are 64 tent sites (only) at City of Rocks, some are walk-in only (walk-ins are restricted to paying one night at a time). Seven restrooms are available within this campground. Fees are $12.72, with a reservation fee of $10.60. Reservations can be made via the park website at ReserveAmerica. There are also 3 group sites available. One is remote and primitive (vault toilet) with a coral for equestrian campers. Two other group camps are non-primitive sites, each having a restroom available. Smokey Mountain Campground near the east entrance (outside) is listed as having six sites with a coral for equestrian campers, restroom, water, electricity, and showers available.
No but go to smokey mountain they do its really close
Near Bath Rock and the Restrooms there is a Fee Box in the camp site.
There are some spots that are near the road such ad the rock signed by thr settlers, Elephant Rock is best viewed from the road to see the full effect. The pathes are all rock or dirt so if his wheelchair can handle that i would say yes.
It's a National Park! They accommodate anyone with a sticker!
