The Representatives at Klain & Associates were wonderful! They answered all my questions as well as helped me search out other assistance I can receive from other agencies. I’m very satisfied with this company I would recommend them to anyone.

Thank you for the review, John. We appreciate the kind words.
It may be possible to get disability benefits much faster if your cancer qualifies for an expedited review. Under the SSA's Compassionate Allowance program, your claim will be reviewed as quickly as possible, so you could get benefits in a matter of weeks. Additionally, if your file is flagged and a "TERI" case, your claim may be expedited.
Yes, your husband can attend your ALJ hearing. In addition to providing you with moral support during the hearing, your husband's presence may even be beneficial to your case. If he knows your limitations and how your restrictions impact your life, his testimony can help you win your claim.
First, thank you for your service. It is possible to receive benefits from the VA and Social Security Disability at the same time. In fact, receiving VA disability benefits can actually improve your chances of winning SSDI. Even veterans who are deemed to be 100% disabled under the VA's system, however, may be denied benefits under Social Security because the qualifications are different.
SSDI stands for Social Security Disability Insurance, and the program is designed for disabled people who worked and paid Social Security taxes. If you don't have enough work credits to qualify for SSDI, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) may be the better option. Some disabled people who are low-income actually qualify for both.
It depends. If your claim is approved at the initial application level, you could start receiving SSDI benefits within just a few months. There is a significant backlog for disability claims processing, however. If your case moves on the appeals hearing level, it can take more than a year to receive a decision. Certain conditions may qualify for expedited processing which can significantly decrease your wait time. Keep in mind that if you have to wait a long time for claims processing, you may be entitled to a lump-sum payment to cover the months when you should have been receiving SSDI benefits.

I worked with Klain and had my disability in about a year. I did not see a judge but did have medical testing but my claim was based on mental not physical issues.
