Best hostel in Chicago. Stayed here for the marathon week and I had a great time. It's only 5 minutes away to Grant Park, which was a high score. Everything is super clean, breakfast is okay and the staff are super friendly. It's an excellent place to meet other travelers.

Perfect location, very cozy and complete facilities. Perhaps the breakfasts are too simple. Ideal place for young people and not as young as us. If we come back to Chicago this will be our accommodation!

The excellent location, I went to run the Chicago Marathon and it was 200 meters from the entrance to the closed park. Full kitchen. I stayed in a 10-bed shared room in front of the subway on the 3rd floor, no noise bothered me. Even though the bathroom was small (2 showers and 2 toilets) they were always available. Cleaning could be better. The floor of the room was not cleaned in 4 days. The reception was cordial and correct for checkin, I had a good experience.

Very mediocre hostel: very dirty single room, stained carpet and wall (you don't walk there barefoot). I stayed there for 5 nights, at no time was the common area cleaned. Overflowing garbage can not emptied, no more soap or toilet paper, forced to ask at the reception where they laughed in my face and nothing was brought ... extremely noisy room because of the metro day and night. but above all extremely unpleasant staff, no hello, Check-in done without saying a word to us with earphones in the ears. Same for the rest of the staff. Wifi that does not work, tiny bed supposed to be for 2?? A very fine sheet and plaid provided while we are in Chicago .. it's cold !! I'm only giving 1 star for the location. 1st time here and certainly the last, other hostels in the city are much cleaner and more family-friendly than this one!

Yes, you either use the lockers room or the hostel storage room.
The hostel doesn't offer breakfast but there is an attached coffee shop on the ground floor.
They have a business center or you can email the documents to the front desk.
Yes, there's a locker in the lobby.
Offsite parking, I paid around $45 - $50 for 24hr. That's only about a minute, perhaps 2minute walking distance across the hotel.
They provide towels for free.
Yeah a $4 fee per day if you are not a member. Yet you can only stay 14 days out of the year so to pay $59 to join their club is just ludacris. Better to just pay the $4 per day.
U got to be kidding? Kitchen? Heck no! U get a frig and microwave, thats it, big kitchen is on the second floor. And No, its shared among another 4 bed suite, bathroom
Parking is a liability and costly! I take the train! Never take a car to chicago!
Its 24hrs but they lock the front door from 8pm to 7am you just need a key or push a button to get it Latest check in is 3am
It doesn't have a gym but the lake is very close. Ideal for swimming and jogging
14 day is the time that any guest can stay in Hi Chicago.
Good afternoon, I have nice memories of Hi Chicago; all tourists who visit it will have the opportunity to participate in all the activities that are carried out in the hotel and the truth is nice. I participated and lived live Jaz music in the very nice apartment where there were very rich and delicious drinks and food
between 15 and 30
I was down on the streets at midnight and 2 a.m., visited with some homeless people, felt safe.
That's for sure at 11:00 am.
I dont know but you can see in google
The prices change and sometimes there's deals going on. Area is very safe, I walked around day and night.
There are also sperate shower rooms down the hallway with a locking door and changing area
no they don't
If i remember well, is at 16:00. But if you arrive earlier, you can put your luggage in one of the lockers they have inside (if you have a lock), if not, they can save it for you.
Yes, it VERY easy to get from O'Hare to the hostel! Your google map (set to public transportation) will get you there. And anywhere else. Stop is right down the street from Hostel.
The zone is safe. I was here in november 2017 and there were some store open at night to eat something
The hostel does not have its own parking lot, but there are a number of elevated parking garages and open air lots within 2 blocks of the hostel.
I have never received any packages there (yet); I believe they _must_ be able to, though. It is within a building which also houses a university, and, of course, surrounded by many additional colleges. It is also VERY central to museums, transit, a (LARGE) Federal Passport Ofc,...i.e., everything useful for travelers and new residents. I have _no_ idea about potential fees; best bet (as if you didn't know;) is to contact them by an actual phone call -- presuming their online site doesn't have the specifics! Sorry that I currently have nothing more definite. 😐
There are semiprivadas for two people, bathroom shared between four rooms but if you do not go in high season the bathroom may be just for you;)
