We had an 8am appointment and were done and out before 9am. Line starts outside of the building then moves inside to go through security. You should plan to be in line 30 minutes before your appointment. Definitely quicker than I expected. Can't complain about this federal agency. Parking is offsite but just across the street and only cost $7.

Awesome service Went at 8 am Took my passport at 2pm the same day Great people and great management
TATIZ GLEZ.
If i could give 10⭐️ Today we came to our appointment to renew our passports, I have a wonderful boy with special needs. The lady in window 2. Attended us with respect and a beautiful personality. She was so polite and patient with us. Best of the best experience. I totally recommend them. Thank you so much! And thank you for your kind and support to the community ❤️❣️🙏🏻⭐️

I didn’t think I’d have to get through TSA when I arrived 15 min prior to my appt. It took 30 min to get through the line and inside. The security people took for ever to move. Then employees would walk in and they’d get through right away making the rest of us wait. It really beats the purpose to the appt times because you have to wait in a long line. They were very unorganized. Once you’ve made it in, the staff was helpful and so are the guards there. Well one was very kind the other was rude as hell. Pay for the extra 30 min when parking because you will most likely be there for more than an hour.
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Is it possible to receive passport the same day? I am applying for my four small children.
No they don't have sane day appointments. You have to call to make an appointment. Chances are you will be on hold for a while but once you get through theybare very kind.
I got my passport😁😁yea!
did it work ?
Phone to make appointments
Usually around 3 working days.
They will help you out, be there Monday 7:30, guards at front will guide you, make sure you have all paperwork you need, DS-11, or DS-82 along with the supporting documents. Line starts in the cafeteria on the first floor, be there early since you will not have an appointment.
Shouldn't have to ... you can also go to most local post office to get one.
Trump signed and order a gave federal employees the day off
You can call the 877 number found at www.travel.state.org and check on the status of your application. You could pay extra for expedited service (if you haven't already) and/or you can upgrade the shipping (of your passport to you) to overnight delivery. Besides all this, the option is to go to the agency on that Friday before your trip (they start taking walk-ins at 10 am) with proof of travel (itinerary). Tell them you have an application in process and they will go from there. If all goes well, you would be able to get your passport that afternoon.
Yes! Take your citizenship paperwork, your travel itinerary and 2 passport photos you will get your passport the same day.
First make an appointment, have a proof of departure within two weeks or less so you can do same day. More urgent departure more chances for same day. Renewal is 170 first time is 205.
If you go there in person with all of your documents and a copy of your travel itinerary that shows you're traveling within the week you can get your passport in 2 to 3 days.
I found the few times that happened to me it was due to a typo. Double check your dates.
They have a new procedure for online but then that you've lost it you're going to have to go to the passport office and make an appointment if you expedite it you can get it right away and it cost $50 extra
It depends on how fast you want it, the fastest is 3 days, but you most have a trip planned in exactly 2 weeks. Cost about $150 for this express service
There aren't any online places you have to call for an appointment now. This prevents scammed from Charging people 800 dollars to get an expedited passport. You can to call. You'll be on hold an hour but they answer and make you an appointment.
No you should be fine. As long as you look like your photo in passport , you won't need to show license. Just carry your marriage certificate , as secondary proof.
Yes you can do that. One us citizen parent is enough to get him/her us passport as long as they are permanent residents.
You dont need parental consent. You need proof you're a citizen and 3 pictures and the money. Just apply for one.
yep, there is something you have to do first I think, legally speaking... but ya my brother couldn't go anywhere for a couple years now he's gone on a couple cruises in Caribbean.... also my friend who spent years in prison is now happily living in Vietnam part time......
No you can show up and wait in line outside building
No. Not at all
Not at the passport office
Possibly, either make an appointment or show up with no appointment with all necessary documents.
yes there's a place downstairs near the elevator
Depending on your flight, you could get it as soon as 3 days.
For a Mexican passport, you would have to go to the Mexican Consulate. If you are now a United States citizen, then you can process your passport at this office.
Yes. Call for an appointment and have proof of urgent departure
Yes, you can do it. You must get there as early as possible. You will also have to wait in the long line outside of the building. But, if you need same day it is definitely worth it!
lol, Good lord
You have to become a citizen first.
Yes, all the forms are available at the passport agency.
Most likely, no more charges will be necessary. If anything, they may charge a $60 expedite fee if you did not pay it already. When you are checking in at the agency, please make sure they understand that you already have an application in process.
You've got PLENTY of time. They wont see you without an appointment unless you are travelling within 3 DAYS. Online and make an appointment. Check a couple of times a day. If you get to the 7th and cant get an appointment, go as a walk in. Make sure you have a copy of your airline reservation. We just did it for my daughter. It worked really well, and they are pretty nice about it too. Good luck!
If your kids are under 16, there is a little more you'll need to do. A court order giving you sole legal custody is great; if you don't have that, there are other options. Go to www.travel.state.org for official information.
Yes, yes and go to www.travel.state.org. The agency is only for people traveling in the next 2 weeks. You must make an appointment and have proof of travel, among other things that are given on the website.
Yes, only US citizens can obtain passports here.
Hmmmmm...if you have the OLD passport you can normally travel with it for up to 1 year after the expiration according to TSA. I have NO IDEA what border patrol will do.
Yes, it will be better if you get an appointment, they take walk-ins after 10 a.m. but first they take care of the appointments, you could be there all day if you don't have an appointment.
Yes...go online, complete application, get your pictures, bring your travel itinerary. If you're traveling with the next 30 days, you'll pay an extra fee. You dropoff the paperwork and then come back at 3p to pick up your passport.
No, minors under 16 have to apply in person each time. Official info at www.travel.state.gov.
Yes
No, although if you do, it will help the process go faster
Nope...you will need to wait to get your number called. Sometimes it's quick and sometimes it's slow.
www.travel.state.gov
Yes some of them do
Only for united states citizens Who wish to travel within two weeks.. Must have confirmed proof of travel... ...They will check.. And if your travel is 3 days ahead of your appointment date.. you will not get your passport on the same date.. You will be ask to come back the next day for your passport.. no exceptions.. Other country citizens contact your respective embassies or consulates
No lighters, they make you take your belt off.
You have to have an appointment to enter the passport office
No you have to call in and get an appointment and they make you show your appointment as soon as you enter the building and go through a security check just like at the airport, nobody can go up with our going through them, then there's another checkpoint as soon as you get to the 4th floor, I just left there today.... exhausting
It's not a problem, if you lot your passport or Dont know where it is, you still can renew it, when you fill out the application, there is a question to answer: do you have an old passport in your possession or not, just say “no”
Are you going over seas? If not then you can use your visa but if you are you'll need your passport
Call every hour until you get an appointment
You will need an appointment. If you are in Houston, Texas or close you can come in and ask questions without an appointment but come early. I recommend around 7am.
Yes
No, you must have an appointment.
Don't mail the application, call g or an appointment. If you have your itinerary let your dates
They do not take walk ins. All I can suggest is to keep calling and see if someone cancels or changes their appointment.
Yes they can but you still have to call and make an appointment within 14 days and have a flight itinerary and proof of emergency on hand. Call them first. You can go in the morning and they can have your passport ready in the afternoon. I just went last week. You do not need 24 hours like Robert Dagreat is saying.
You make a copy of your passport and has it notarized at any location of your choosing. UPS does it very quickly.
Yes if you can Schedule an appointment
Yes, you can obtain your passport the same day. They will process and print it and have it back typically just after lunch on the same day with applicable fees.
You have to call.and make your appointment not early then 2 weeks before your flight . They will give u appointment and your passport will be ready on the same day.
You have to call and make an appointment.
You must come to a facility or a post office with child or parent
You will need to have a flight itinerary proving your departure date. If appointments are available in Houston, they’ll give you an appt within 3 days of departure. The turn around time is 24hrs if there is no reason for delay. You’ll have to call the 800 number on the passport website and prepare to sit on hold for 3-4hrs to speak to someone. Have a booked and paid flight before hand or they won’t give you the appt. I helped a family member renew their passport last month.
These appointments are only for people who have urgent travel that already exists. You HAVE TO already have a flight itinerary in your name booked and printed out. Otherwise your case isn't emergent. They do verify your flight itinerary with the airport. They do not allow walk ins. They verify appointments downstairs before you're allowed through security.
The passport agency will be able to give you one as long as it is in processing. I submitted my daughter's 6 weeks before we left and expedited it. I heard nothing for a while, then 3 weeks later I got an email that it was processing but I was still afraid that it would not come in time. I made an appointment by calling the passport agency several times for two days straight and finally spoke with someone. We were leaving on a Friday. That Monday before we left I received an email that it was approved. The next morning, Tuesday morning, it had been overnighted to me. So I did not end up having to go to the appointment on Wednesday.
Still open ..you will need to make an appointment. You cannot walk in without it. Go to travel.state.gov for appointments . You will need to call to make an appointment. On life or death passports with your documents. Passports are issued next day.
They will not let you in without an appointment, no one will talk to to you or help you. I travel Monday for my dads funeral and my daughter's passport did not arrive. I got mine 2 weeks ago. I went for help and was treated horribly. Try calling right at 8AM and follow the instructions to report a stolen passport. Its the only way I got through. Once you get to an agent they will route you to the right place. Horrible customer service, good luck!
I had to wait around 3 hours to get someone to answer me i called right at 7am central , tell them your situation and they will give you an emergency appointment , you need translated proof of the emergency and your flight itinerary
Go to passport age agency Houston branch you get all the information.
No Walk Ins, if you have an emergency you can call the hotline and see about getting an appointment
When is you appointment?
o
They dont close for Lunch. May be they take lunches in phases
Check your local post office to make appointment for passport
No they do not due to Covid.
You have to make an appointment prior to going up there.
They only have appointment specific day you need to call them to find out what days they have and then you will have to get an online appointment (they only do online ) ask them what day they will post them and be ready to go online at midnight to schedule because they go fast... hope this helps and good luck. We had our appointment on a Friday and got the passport on Monday via FEDEX
If you are traveling for an emergency you can get an appointment within 72 hrs of departure. If none in Houston check Dallas or New Orleans
Go to us passport application and call them. They will give you one. You need to have a letter for the emergency and the airline tickets
$200 w the card
You need to call passport office number and get the appointment. Explain ur emergency and have a confirmed travel document within 72 hrs of travel to get ur passport renewed Cost 175
Sorry for your loss. To get a passport ASAP you must show proof of your need for urgent travel. Please call the passport agency for detailed advice. They will be able to help you more than anyone on here.
Honestly, due to Covid-19, they are booked for up to two weeks , so if you need it within a week, it's impossible.
It depends, make sure you have an appointment.
Yeah, cafeteria on the 1st floor offers pictures, they are 20 bucks I believe tho
ID and proof of US citizenship. Check out the official site for more info. www.travel.state.gov
Go to www.travel.state.gov and click "Get a Passport". It's the official site.
Wh what do I need to get a passport and how long does it take to get one
You need to do a whole new one, first time passport by using form Ds11 because your passport was expired for more than 5 years.
If it's less than 5 years expired, she can use a DS-82 renewal form. She will have to submit her current passport, no birth certificate needed. Check out www.travel.state.gov, official site, for all the info you need.
Not at the agency itself. However there is Greg's Deli on the first floor where you can get photos for $20. There is also a place across the street from the Federal building at Louisiana and Pierce, and a CVS a couple of blocks away. Just about anywhere would be less expensive than Greg's but they do take good photos that fit the needed requirements.
Go to www.travel.state.gov, call the NPIC number (it's an 877 number). Tell them you want to expedite your application and upgrade the shipping. It is $60 + $16.48. Pay by credit card.
Yes
A passport book (necessary for flying) is $80. A card is $15. Plus a $35 execution fee (this is paid to the acceptance facility where you apply). There are more fees if you want expedited service, or express mail service. Check out www.travel.state.gov for more info.
Yes, you can renew a passport at any time.
Depends on the urgency, same day up to three days.
You need a certified copy of your birth certificate and valid ID, like a driver license, ID card, etc. Once your application is reviewed, you may or may not be asked for more information. There's no way to know until you apply.
All applicants need to apply in person. A 16-year-old child only requires one parents' consent (the parent must be listed on the birth certificate). If the kid has a previous passport, that can be used as proof of citizenship and a birth certificate is not necessary. See more info on travel.state.gov. (post by an employee)
It's a expedite facility so you need your birth cert, an I'd, and travel itinerary that's within w weeks of travel to do it there. Just as easy to do it at a post office if your not on a rush
If it is for first time passport you need Ds_11, for renewal you need Ds_82. It depends on what are you trying to do.
Yes
They will take all the people with appointments before the walk-ins. If you have same-day travel (like if you got turned away at the airport) go ahead and walk in and they will help you. However, I wouldn't reschedule the flight until you know when you will get the passport
Yes unless it is life or death situation. I have seen them telling people to come back after they have an appointment. Please make an appointment
Check out www.travel.state.gov. Documents are the same regardless of delivery preference. Only the fees will cost more.
U can't. You need to have a visa for her to enter USA. ( visa is not the same as passport.). Then u can change her status and apply for citizenship for her.
Cost I don't know it took about 3 month
walk in
Look on www.travel.state.gov. Prices vary by product and whether you need routine or expedited service, and whether the applicant is a minor (under 16) or adult.
Go to www.travel.state.gov. There is a passport application "wizard". You can complete your application online, print it, and follow the instructions to mail it in. Fee for routine service is $110. You have the option of paying for faster service. The wizard will calculate your fees but you cannot renew online. Do this asap as busy season (those getting ready for spring break and summer) is about to begin. You will most likely not be able to travel on your current passport; most countries require at least 3-6 months validity after the end of your trip. On same website you can search for the passport requirements of the country you are traveling to.
You do not get a refund. You have to begin the process again and pay the fees again,
Yes it is very important to get that corrected
This office is for American passports only. You need documents for the United States without documents, you cannot get a passport
I would suggest making an appointment with that number to resolve the situation in person.
Yes with your ID
If you have flight in next day bring the tickets they need something that shows them why you need it so fast
So theyre extortionists without a legit way to contact them
We made ours by calling them. The information is on their website
Yes, they can obtain their passport.
You have to go into the agency in person in order for them to expidaded.
Yes
But if you go in person, take the whole day off bc youll be there for 5-6 hrs. Theyre really slow and have a lot of volume
Not sure, I paid with card. But I think they should accept cash. Besides I have a nice appointment for Tuesday and can find out and give you an update.
It is illegal for them to work here in the U.S.. Don't get caught.
You would have to make an appt at the main office in order to receive it asap.
It really depends on the situation. If it's just for yourself and you fill out all paperwork correctly and have all proper documents, You will receive it within 4-6 wks.
Yes
Birth certificates or old passport, if for children you need both parents present and id.
Log onto their website. There's a link that you can select to check the status. If that doesn't give you the answered you are seeking you can just call the hotline
Good luck getting them to call you back though. My girlfriend had to write our congressman and threaten a law suit before they contacted her.
