Excellent customer service, thank you.
DEVYN BARKER
Was in and out within 20-25 mins even though there was alot of people there, reasonable prices and nice staff.
Jessica Jenkins
Super! They were friendly and fast. They got both dogs updated on vaccines!!!
Twelve Meridians Acupuncture
They have made donations of (clean and lightly used) bedding and towels easy! Just drive into the North side of the facility and drop off.
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
That poor dog I do agree call animal control. That family I do believe could be arrested for animal cruilty(however that word is spelled). That husky does not deserve to live that way do indeed call animal control and get that dog fixed up she or he deserves way better than that.
We just put down my moms who was old it was 85 dollars
Yes they are always looking for people to volunteer
If you follow them on Instagram you can see special events like that. Also sometimes they lower the fee on a certain pet, or someone will sponsor the pet so that someone else can adopt it for free.
If you contact Best Friends they can give you a voucher to fix feral cats for free.
The pet samaritan medical aid might be able to help?
They told me a week and a half ago they are a no kill shelter unless the animal is vicious or too sick to go on.
I am positive they would absolutely love your donation!
Yes, they don't adopt out pets that aren't spayed or neutered unless they're too young and then you sign something saying you'll get it done when they're old enough.
I've only had vaccinations done on my animals; for that purpose they are quick, efficient and reasonably priced (and it all serves a good cause)!
Yes
On their site they have pictures and prices. Some animals are sponsored by people who come into the Humane Society which makes them free, others have been there long enough that they simply are free. Most of their animals have pictures and full profile on their website shortly after being admitted. It has been a slow season for a lot of their animals as I go often and so it should be thoroughly updated.
You will have to call the adoption side of the Humane Society, I only go to the clinic. They would be happy to tell you. They may have one in their Fostering program, so check there too.
I am sure they would like it and you can write it off as contribution to a charitable organization.
Yes, you can walk through and visit all the animals. I believe you have to ask permission to visit a particular animal outside their enclosure.
Your local police dispatch can hook you up to animal control and I can write tickets and impound dogs and so forth so they have a certain amount of police Powers when it comes to animals
Poisoning is difficult to tell what kind of poison was used. I would recommend that you report it to the police and file a report. The humane society has been involved in helping stop the cruelty to animals. It's sad that people are not realizing that these animals are our family. In my opinion the most common poisoning is antifreeze. I know the cure for humans but I don't know about dogs. Maybe charcoal pills could absorb the poison but ask a vet because I am not a vet.
I just got it a couple weeks ago it was 20$ they do accept Apple Pay if you forget your wallet like me
Getting Gizmo's final shots before he could be neutered was $40.00. They are booked for 2 or 3 months so I didn't even ask. I will find out and update. Not sure if dogs n cats are priced differently.
u
Personally I would confront the owner and let him know that you see what's going on and if it continues he would find out how it feels to be treated like that only far worse from what I'm about ready to do to him and if he don't believe me to keep abusing that animal and find out!!!!
Yes they do.
Put down the dog before it catches the cat. I recommend the crossbow gun from diesel power. Com Tell them Steve liti sent you. We must protect our cat's at any cost!
I do believe that I heard that they do charge to take in animals weather they are stay or yours. Your best bet is probably animal control though I would call the human society just to make sure.
They sometimes get Ferrets in. Probably call first. Or, look them up online. They list all of their adoptable pets. I'm not sure of prices there, but I'm guessing it'll be about 30-35 bucks. That's mostly for the vet services (all pets are checked over, and given all needed shots before they are available for adoption). Not sure about Ferrets, because of their size, but larger animals like dogs, cats etc are spayed/neutered as well.
No, I'm afraid they don't. A good place to start would be getting some basic info from Animal Control or SPCA and maybe even contact the Audubon Society. (all birds) Google or Duck Duck Go for more possible answers.
Are you not giving him a good life? I agree with Heidi, the cat chose you, get him fixed and love him...😁
Call your local animal control/humane society/police department and report it. While a person is traveling they must abide by the laws of the state they are currently in.
Your best bet is to call down there and find out directly from the vet tech how much going to be
Yes they can, they might need an adult with them it just depends on the age.
10 am
Yes.
Humane society requires some form of proof of ownership for relinquishments. There is also a $60 fee per animal
Yes they do! They also are doing a fostering program for the holidays if you want to signup.
Don't listen to the first answer. If you pay the relinquish fee, they'll take your dog.
It is offered. The cat we adopted was already chipped and our information was loaded into the chip as part of their service.
They will take them and fix them and place them in foster care and try to rehab them.
I think they are not mobile, they have clinics for dogs.
Yes most of or all of them get spayed and neutered
You should call to find out their policy.
Monday - Thursday - 9am to noon & 1pm to 6pm Friday - 9am to noon & 1pm to 4pm Saturday - 9am to 3pm Sunday - closed
Hi, Carrie. HSU isn't able to take in stray animals, only owned pets. Please check with your municipal animal control to see what their intake procedures are for stray cats. If you don't know which jurisdiction you live in, check this listing of local shelters https://slco.org/contentassets/bdf473f159bc40bb882b86fc85d2c20a/shelter_locations_2021.pdf Thank you for looking out for these kittens!
Look on the website they show all their prices.
They will do vaccination prices are on the website. You will have to contact them about neuter, they were full and not accepting new pets, but that was esrlier this month.
We don't have a pet rental program, but we do have a foster care program where you temporarily care for a cat who needs medical care before they can be adopted. You'd be helping the cat and it would give you a chance to see how your family member tolerates any potential allergens before permanently adopting. Go to https://www.utahhumane.org/how-to-help/foster-pet#view-pets-who-need-help-now for more info.
They require an appointment. Sometimes they can get you in the same day if there's a cancellation. You'll need to call the shelter and talk to the Admissions department.
Yes they do practically everything you need for your pet. They aren't very expensive either.
Most animals are on a first come, first person, but I would definitely give them a call, and explain the situation. The staff there is very friendly, though I would avoid the place on the weekends if possible, as they get very busy
Call animal control. They will come and collect them. They will try to get them weaned and adopted out too I believe.
If you had your dog vaccinated at the Humane Society, yes they will most certainly have the record on file and you can get a copy.
The humane society will probably take the dog, but to might have to pay a surrender fee. There's also a shelter on 3900 South and 500 West. I'd call to find out what the legalities are as far as giving them a dog that isn't yours
I know the procedure is a little pricey I think I would take my dog to a regular vet.the procedure is painful for the animal I know I had it done on my 3 shihzu I would rather be safe keep him safe and healthy
They can do all her shots but it costs money. I would go to Walmart for supplies since they have the cheapest. I don't know anywhere that does it for free. The DI might have some dog stuff cheap.
I would call them and speak with the management and say you want to do volunteer work they are always looking
You can try offering them on ksl.com or craigslist or to dumb friends league...
Call them. They are open at 10 am tomorrow (Sunday).
Unfortunately, we do not offer exams. We suggest taking him to see your regular full-service vet. Good luck with your kitty and thanks for thinking of us!
Hi, Kislev. Thank you for looking out for the well-being of the cats in your neighborhood. HSU is unable to accept stray animals as we don't have jurisdiction for animal control. If you'd like to schedule a call with our Admissions team, we can help you find the right resource for the cats you're helping. https://www.utahhumane.org/programs, click yellow 'schedule a call' button.
They need to have all up-to-date shots with proof I believe
Hi, Wendy. We currently have over 100 animals available for adoption, including 48 cats and 16 dogs. Small breed dogs are in great demand and tend to be adopted quickly but you have a large number of cats of all ages and temperaments to choose from. Check out their listings at https://www.utahhumane.org/adopt or stop by the Adoptions Center 10 AM - 7 PM, 7 days a week. We hope you'll find a great pet to fill the role of ESA for you!
Adoptions is open Monday - Sunday 10am - 7pm, no appointment needed. Please note that we will be closed for an event on Sunday, May 16th.
Hi, Aurora. We usually have pitbull type dogs available for adoption although we don't do DNA testing to know their exact breed. Check out our available pets at https://www.utahhumane.org/adopt and come feel free to come into the adoption center to meet them 10-7, seven days a week.
We don’t have payment plans, but we often have animals listed as “Name your own price”.
There is a list of positive dog trainers at https://www.utahhumane.org/behavior
Visit UtahHumane.org/admissions to schedule a call or appointment. You can also try private pet rehoming at UtahHumane.org/rehoming.
I'm not sure you can try them or animal control
The Humane Society of Utah offers euthanasia services for animals at the end of their lives as well as a private cremation service to return your pet's ashes to you. For more information, go to https://www.utahhumane.org/get-help/end-life-euthanasia or call 801-261-2919 x214.
Not that I know of, To me that's cruelty to Animal why don't she have a way to walk it not with her car,
Try this link. It takes you to the Humane Society page for cats. https://www.utahhumane.org/adopt?f[0]=field_species%3A2
Private pet cremation is available through the Humane Society of Utah Clinic. Pricing is based on weight. Please call us at 801-261-2919 ext. 230 to talk about available options.
I don't think they are open on Sundays?
You can spay your female cat at 8 weeks of age, or 2 pounds. You should spay before 4 months since cats cat get pregnant then. Here is more info. https://www.utahhumane.org/media/why-spay-or-neuter-your-pet You should get vaccinations as soon as possible. Not knowing how old your cat is now, call our clinic or come in for vaccinations. We usually begin when they are kittens.
Adoption fees range from $55-$600 for dogs and $25-$175 for cats.
Hi, Cynthia. We may be able to offer help through our Pet Retention program. You can get more information here https://www.utahhumane.org/petretention or call 801-261-2919 x214.
They are currently doing walk-ins at the clinic. There are only so many people allowed in at once so you may wait a little (we only waited 5 minutes to go in) but it depends on the day you go.
You can get information about admitting your cat to the Utah Humane Society here: https://www.utahhumane.org/admissions
They do - masks are required and limited people are allowed inside at once (only one person per pet too).
There's no fine
Groundskeeping / Property Maintenance should handle that if they haven't already
Please visit utahhumane.org for current business hours for each department. Separate department hours can't be listed on Google.
They might, they take most pets/animals there
Is there free WiFi available?
They'll take almost any animal.
They do have a staff veterinarian who performs spays and neuters but they don't offer services for sick or injured pets.
Usually you have to have proof of a current rabies vaccination in order to get your license, not the other way around.
The cost of neutering a dog depends on weight and breed. You can call them for an estimate.
Minimum age to volunteer is 12 years old. Volunteers 12-15 years of age require an adult who will be actively volunteering to accompany them.
Yes. Clinic is open 9-12, all other departments close at 3pm.
Do not know call them poor cat i hate druggies the most they are very selfish i know from family experience do not let them back no matter what and giid luck!
It depends on the person that might be fostering the pet if needed.
No
RABITS DOGS AND CATS ARE TYPICALLY THE ANIMALS THEY HAVE. YOU NEED TO CONTACT THEM TO SEE IF ANY BIRDS HAVE BEEN TAKEN IN FOR REHOMING.
I don't think they take birds
Take it to admin. Make an appointment and bring My records you may . They do a quick general exam to ascertain overt issues It is an excellent facility.
Clinic or the shelter? Both hours vary. Shelter I believe it's like 9 to 6 the clinic is like 9 to noon and then from 1 to 5:45pm
Check out cattledogrescueme.org
You can be at least 12 to volunteer with a parent and 16 to do it by yourself. They also do have a designated rooms for kittens in kitty city
Oh dear. I'm so sorry. If they don't most veterinary clinics will and the fee starts around 80.
Yes
It depends on what you need. Give them a call and explain. In my opinion they are fair priced.
Call animal control
This you would have to call them and ask. They do have some featured pets online but I'm sure that is not all that they have.
I only saw an older pug. You need to Google them and they have pictures of the dogs they have.
Volunteering means helping the animal shelter by working for them without being paid.
Yup they are. I just went there about a week ago. Was in and out in no more then 10 minutes. They are fast and defiantly cheaper then the vet.
Have you talked to your neighbor? If there is really abuse then you need to report it but maybe you can just support your neighbor and caring for her dog. Or maybe it's a breed that their ribs to show?
Call animal control if you are concerned the humane society can't help you with your neighbors.
The Humane Society will help.
Tell them its a terrier "pitbull" isn't technically a breed
I don't quite remember what I paid but I do know it was A LOT cheaper than going to a private clinic
No. Animals cannot be put on layaway. Are you sure you can cover further expenses the animal will have such as food, toys and veterinarian fees? Great things to think about while you're waiting.
Its free to return you dont get the adoption fee back tho.
Well, dear, don't tell us about it. Call the Humane Society and ask for help. They will work with you to find a solution.
They only deal with mammals I think, cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, mice and rats I believe.
You can walk in, but it would be best to call first.
Best friends animal clinic in Orem is extremely inexpensive. Spaying/neutering for dogs is only $75. It's on a walk-in basis on certain days.
Petco does hair trimming not the humane society. Its an animal shelter. They only do things that are benifical to the animals health. Not cosmetics
Yes.
Great place to adopt a cat or a dog
it's really hit and miss whether they're going to have guinea pigs or not they are not like a pet supply store or anything like that they're pretty much dogs cats occasionally you'll have a bird there but that's going to an aviary
Go directly to there website and there's a link
I don't believe they do. It never hurts to ask though
I have adopted three pets, two cats & a dog. They were open & honest about their past history & medical needs. We come back for vaccinations. The employees really do bond with & care for the pets here & want to see them placed in happy forever homes.
Yes, they have a Maine Coon cat. I was there today getting vaccinations for my Tabby
Thanks everyone for responding
$60 for a cat or kitten. $90 for litters of two or more. They only do surrenders by appointment only. I would visit their website to schedule a phone consult at utahhumane.org/admissions
Yes, you can. They have an area for rabbits.
$75 through the clinic, $60 through the admissions department. Both are by appointment only.
Not sure on cats?? Best call the clinic, they can tell you and set you up a spaying appt..
You can call the clinic at the Humane and ask.
If he hasn't had any of the shots it you'll spend up to $150 all together for like 2 months and then it's $77 to get them neutered or spayed
If it's a dogs first ever shots, then wait until the boosters are done as well before taking to a dog park. And after the booster it's recommended to wait for one to two weeks before taking to dog parks.
I don't understand why people ask questions here that can only be answered by calling the business in question.
They have way easy to locate donation bins, as you enter. They look like big dog houses, LOL. So they're open to receive donations turn your business hours. They're open seven days a week, I believe, and close at 7 p.m. off some of my info is correct and this helps, lol🐶🐱
The humane society doesn't treat sickness only spay, nuerters, vacanates and microchips.
You can surrender the dog back. There may be a fee.
Call animal services, if there is a problem with the dog they will be able to take care of it.
You can call Animal control from the county or city you're in
Not sure exactly what you mean by "display". They support spay and neuter and they provide that service.
Check the website.
Go to Petsmart. Their groomer's have a walk in service they call 'Pedipaws'. It runs $10, if it's your first visit, bring your pet's vaccination records
Absolutely, but do so within employee discretion. If they tell you to leave certain dogs alone if you don't want to adopt them, that should be respected. Otherwise, they really do like for people to interact with the dogs. They can also always use dog food and cat food if you have the money to spare.
Animal control will take a deceased animal for a small fee.
Yes they're looking for volunteers
Yes go to utahhumane.org all the animals that are available are posted under adopt. And you can even narrow down be gender and breed. Keep in mind the animals sometimes take a few hours to remove off the site once they've been adopted
Call during business hours, I've never waited more than thirty seconds for someone to pick up. The staff is very helpful and understanding.
I don't understand Oscar's information. If you have an emergency you need to take your dog or cat to a full-service veterinary clinic. This is not the function of HSU.
Not through the human society. There are other programs in utah that allow that though. Rescue Rovers is one
$62 per their website.
Not sure! Look for best friends they might help
Hope u r able to find a home for all of u. Jacks are quite a handful tho. I used to raise them but no longer.
Do you mean Cryptorchidism? A condition where one or both testicles fail to move from the abdomen, where they develop before birth, down into the scrotum. Male dogs who have uncorrected cryptorchidism are at increased risk for developing cancer of the testicles. It's also known as undescended testicles. If that's what you're talking about, yes the Humane Society of Utah Clinic does do surgery to remove undescended testicles at the time of neuter surgery. You just need to call to schedule an appointment.
The Humane Society of Utah Clinic offers low cost vaccinations 6 days a week. Because the prices are already discounted and there is no office visit fee, they don't have other days that they offer lower prices.
The younger the more expensive. I've seen 4 or 5 month old mix breeds priced at 600.
If your buying a pet de-worming is free
Yeah the Humane Society...call them
Yes. Price depends on which one's you pick
The Humane Society of Utah Clinic does walk-in vaccinations 6 days a week. No appointment needed. Monday through Thursday from 9:00 - 11:45 & 1:00 to 5:45, Friday from 9:00 - 11:45 & 1:00 to 4:00, and Saturday from 9:00 to 3:45.
I don't know the answer to that one. You probably want to call them.
The current price for a rabies vaccination at the Humane Society of Utah Clinic is $16.
It normally means it's gone completely
You can get anything for that price. The small fluffy dogs sell for more. My neighbor just bought one of our fosters for $100. It was a shitzu. My best friend bought another one of our fosters a pitbull for around $100. So you will be fine.
I didnt
Yes you are. There is a fee but they will take them
Try calling
If you want the puppy you can put them on a treatment hold. They separate the pup to ensure he doesn't have kennel cough or anything else. It took us a month and a half to get our pit jango
I don't believe so
They will help. It does say on the sign $65 for euthanizing, but they ask if you can pay that, if not, they'll tell you it's donation anyway, give you an envelope to make a donation at a future time if you feel.
You would likely need to contact the vet side of it, and I'm sure they could get those for you
This sounds like a question best directed to a vet.
Their website lists clinic services and fees.
They will not keep them for you however may be able to help you find somewhere
No I don't think so
Talk to the neighbor about the issue - he may not know that his cats are causing such an issue! You could also get some netting to keep the cats away or perhaps look up sprays or plants that are natural animal repellants
Try tracy aviary or it that doesn't work they have a bird sanctuary in Ogden which is far but they took a bird that was stuck in fly trap glue from me.
The Utah Humane Society is a no kill shelter.
It said they are when I was there the other day
Yes they have vets and assistants
Newborn puppies have to be weaned off their mother or bottle fed. The humane society will only adopt out puppies that are 8 to 10 weeks old. And they try to screen the people adopting them. To avoid having them come back. But for a nominal fee you can get a puppy. 8 to 10 weeks is the youngest. They have a lot of puppies that are under a year old. They need homes. Also cats. So many cats. Cats are great animals to have. Beautiful and happy. Kids love cats. Just stop in and see what they have. You won't be disappointed.
And the question is?
Absolutely. I have personally seen hundreds of examples of both of those things through volunteering, fostering, their clinics, the classes they offer, and their adoption programs. Maybe some volunteer hours would help you feel better, some hours spent walking the dogs and petting the kitties can do you wonders!
There's a ton of questions. You just have to tap on "see more"
This has nothing to do with the humane society.
Don't think so. Why would u want to trap cats? Call pet control . They could help ya
Depends on what you took them for in the first place? I know they are not a shelter and they are an adoption agency. I take my cat there to get her vaccinations. But that's all they really do vet care wise. Unless you have brought your pet there and have surrendered the pet to the Humane Society. You dont get the pet back. They take the animal and have it checked out by a veterinarian and if it is able to be out with other animals and other things, they will keep them there to try and get the pet re-adopted out! If not, and they deem that the pet is too sick or something along those lines, they will humanely euthanize the animal.
The fee is $25.00 to take your pet to the shelter, then the pet has a chance to be adopted
I don't think they do grooming services, but they do vaccines/yearly shoots for a fair price and quick service.
They are open Noon-4pm
No. You can just take the pet in during business hours. There is a door on the far left side of the building that you take them to.
Until 7 pm
Yes
Already have chips you go online then put your name and address.
I think you should contact them directly via phone
Call the police non emergency line and report it.
Yes
Yes. They can put them up as a bonded pair.
You can take the pet to human society and they will adopt him out, and you have my condolences.
I have no idea. I would call and ask them.
Yes
I suggest you make a police report immediately
You can "reserve" a dog as I've seen some animals with signs up that say they are already adopted, but you will have to call them for specifics
Yes they take bunnies. There is a room dedicated for them by the cats
You should call and ask them about it.
Check with best friends also theyve helped me a couple of times with spay and neutering they go by what your income is .A donation of 5$ has been done for me once. They were really helpful to me when i needed it.
Spend enough time with the dog outside and inside. Tale your grandson with you so you know if the dog will be attentive towards him. I would even say to plan on making a full day of it. I well be looking in April for about the same only for myself.
Drop off by 8 pick up at 4 approximately.
I have to agree you do have to pay again if you let them know the reason you returned the pet. They may not let you. So the decision is up to them.
Yes!
Hi, the inventory of animals is constantly changing. Their website is helpful, but the best option is to go in.
I don't work there. Go over and browse. I'm sure they do.
Check out their website, adoptable animals are changing daily.
They might work with you more then a local vet or call cottonwood animal hospital they might help
They do not offer dog training but they can advise you of a few places they recommend. If you adopted the dog from them they may already know the issues regarding that dog and may have some recommendations as to the best training for that particular dog.
Yes they'll take a cat in. It's possible it will get put down though, depending on severity of injury/sickness
Yes, Best Friends of Utah. They charge a flat fee. $200. Olympus Cove vets told me they are the cheapest in the valley. The said it would be $150. A little more if it was really bad and the needed to take more teeth. The final bill was $970. No kidding! Again best Friends of Utah $200. All inclusive. Also some vets make it sound like you will be waiting for hours to receive your pet at pick up time. Not true Doggy #1 waited a long time at Olympus paid $970. My dog was not well when I got her. Doggy #2 Best Friends of Utah. $200.I waited less than 10 minutes. Also Olympus made a big deal about using the latest drugs. That is their pitch against taking your pet to best friends. I say, "the old meds have worked well for over 50 years on millions of pets. New meds are not worth much in my eyes. How about a little common sense please?
Im not sure but im sure they can tell you where to take the turtle!!!
You can't checkup on animals you or someone else has surrendered. You can do what you've done and look through the listings or go in and look for them. If you can't find them they've likely found new homes.
HSU cannot accept any animal that has bitten a person within the last ten days. By law, such an animal must be taken to your local Animal Control facility. They also cannot accept wildlife. Receiving fees: ADULT DOGS: First dog (six months of age and older) $50.00 Each additional adult dog $10.00 PUPPIES: First puppy (five months of age and younger) $20.00 Each additional puppy $10.00
As far as I am aware, this is not a service offered by the Humane Society
The only way to get an answer is to check with them as this is a very unusual and unique question. I didn't see any tortoises when I visited. Call them.
I don't think there's a specific age you need to be to call them.
Thanks
Do you mean to surrender? If so then yes.
We spent about 2 hours adopting a dog but some of that time was spent trying to talk ourselves out of it.
Thanks! Your answer is awaiting moderation.
