Kittens kittens get your kittens

Very friendly staff. Very clean and good atmosphere... As long as a shelter goes!

Our first experience here 5 months ago was great. The staff were friendly and helped us find the perfect kitten to adopt. She has been a gem! However she wasn't spayed, so they gave us a voucher. Fast forward 5 months and I finally got an appointment to get her spayed but I lost the original paperwork and voucher. I called on the phone and they said if I came in and showed my ID, they could get me the paperwork. I made a special trip to come in, but the girl told me they can't give it to me and they also can't make photo copies. Oh and because I don't have my paperwork for the vet to send back, if I don't come in again to prove it was done, I'll get my kitten taken away from me! The whole thing was totally unprofessional- especially because what I was told on the phone and in person was totally different. There has to be a way to help people who misplace their paperwork. I had better luck replacing a birth certificate for my child!

Just because they're not open to the public, doesn't mean they don't have staff there that care for the animals.
You will have to leave work early one day then to go get your pet. To adopt you can just go on one of your days off. If your days off are Saturday and Sunday then just see if someone at your work will switch a day with you. You can send a complaint to them about their hours, but they most likely won't change them. They are open until 5pm which is the same time as most of the other shelters.
North Utah Valley Animal Shelter - Lindon is reported to be one of the four shelter in the COUNTRY that euthanized their animals in gas chambers. Their adoption fee for cats and dogs is free right now until the 20th because the killing day is the 21st. The American Humane Society says: “EBI is the most humane method of euthanizing shelter animals. If successful, the gas chamber can take up to 25 to 30 minutes to end an animal’s life, whereas EBI causes loss of consciousness within three to five seconds and clinical death within two to five minutes. EBI causes animals to lose consciousness and brain function before their vital organs shut down. In a chamber, however, animals lose consciousness and brain function only after their vital organs shut down, causing prolonged suffering and distress.”
You would need to call the shelter directly and speak with the manager.
Did you make sure to call during their specific hours
They have a lot of cars there and some of them are cheap however be careful when you do get one and De-worm it. I got a female cat from there and she had ring worms. Nothing medicine from Wal-Mart won't take care of plus.... It's a cheap fix and your saving a animal.
More then likely they are adopted. After we adopted a few cats the info on them was gone on their site.
Not for the general public, only if the dog is currently impounded at the shelter.
Don't take her to this shelter!!!!! It is a miserable place for animals.
Walking the dogs is 18 years old last time I went in. I am not sure what age for playing with the cats.
No services for spay or neuter.
There are no dog up for adoption at this location.
It is horrible but it's part of a vicious cycle of cats being born feral and cruel owners raising animals to be vicious and the cycle will not end until there are less animals to euthanize or the shelter gets a budget increase to afford more humane methods
There’s no excuse or rhyme or reason. This shelter needs a major overhaul in many ways.
I think you can go to their website and see the animals they have up for adoption. I'm pretty sure their web address is northutahvalleyanimalshelter.org.
Oh yes, I can't remember the hours, but they were posted on the door. Also, if you need to drop off a stray, just call, I did & someone met me there after hours at the back bay door. I know this may not be thier normal practice, but I was very impressed by thier willingness to go above & beyond thier call of duty.
Yes
Yes you just have to call but I don't know with covid going on
I don't think the animal shelter does boarding? But you could call and ask.
Our regular adoption fees are $75 for dogs, $200 for puppies (younger than six months), $25 for cats and $90 for kittens (younger than six months).
No you can’t. Just called and they said no
I think you should talk to them and not a Google guide.
Yes they do
Call the shelter. You probibly just need to fill out a form then give them your pet.
Call the police and report it as Animal Cruelty. They can help ya. The shelter will step in after the law takes care of it.
Can the public still come and walk the dogs around the facility in Lindon? I have two granddaughter that would love to come walk the dogs a couple times a month.
You have to be 18 or older and you have to fill out an application and get approved before volunteering.
There is a basic adoption fee (I think $40 for dogs and $10 for cats), and then they add on fees based on that specific animal's needs (spay/neuter voucher, rabies vaccination, etc.)
It's a gas chamber facility. I wouldn't even call it a shelter. They kill them in a gas chamber and your tax dollars finance the whole operation.
There is no vet on staff; they don't do spaying/neutering for any pets.
They don't have a fostering program, but they do work with multiple rescues (you would need to call to get specific names). If you foster for the rescues then the rescues can pull more animals from the shelter
Basically the same here, the only difference is you have to read a 1 page paper on the rules and then you get quizzed right on the spot
We have seen rabbits, chameleons, iguanas, hamsters and birds. Even white rats. Sometimes they send them to the north county building after a few days or so.
There is a high turn over if cats and they had a ton of them! They told me it is kitten season. People are bringing them left and right.
You can't view online. You have to go in. :(
I believe it would go to south county.
We almost adopted a kitten there. It's around $80. We decided to get a 1-3yr old instead because he was beautiful and FREE! I suggest going in and looking at all the cats there!
No. This is a shelter, not a vet clinic.
It shouldn't be very much. They're always willing to work with people and considering shes a service dog they may not charge you anything. Sorry im not more help.
Yes they do
