Nice State Park in Grayland, WA on the Pacific Ocean just south of Westport and Aberdeen. Star formation campground with full hookup. We were in site 17 which is somewhat overgrown compared to the other loops. Easy access to the beach by foot / car. Vehicles / fires allowed on the beach, 4 wheel drive only, the sand is pretty easy to get stuck in near the ramps even 4 low. This peninsula doesn’t have that much to offer in terms of restaurants, shopping - but it does have fishing charters and the derby board looked really good this year with a lot of fish. Ocean Shores and Longbeach have more to offer in this regard. The 4 stars is because there is no place to wait if you come early and we had to drive to Westport and hang out for two hours. So try not to show up to exactly your check-in time. Usually most of the state parks have some kind of day use parking. It would be nice if the state did something for this park because it’s busy and drive times from the region can vary greatly. Also the wood was entirely too expensive $7 for 4-5 pieces … better to get it right next door - 20 pieces $10.00. It makes no sense to haul wood here. There is plenty local cheap. I‘m not to excited to come back but enjoyed my time here.

Grayland Beach SP is a very popular camping spot. We snagged one spot in a pod near the beach. The sites are generous size. It's about a two-block walk to the enormous beach. You also can drive there just outside the park. Staff were great. A nice little store. Book early!

Beautiful, soft sand beach off the beaten path. Close to ocean shores but far enough that it’s not as disturbed. Tons of unbroken sand dollars, we camped one night and had the beach to ourselves basically. Look up and you can see the Milky Way and so many stars ✨

I mean, it's the beach! That in itself is enough. However, I do love that you can drive on the beach and this day we were able to drive south almost all the way to Tokeland! It was a beautiful day with the sun shining and the waves glistening as they gently crashed to the shore. Perfect day to relax, unwind and forget your cares while you walk along the beach with the one you love. Bliss.

They do and they are close by all of the sites
No. WA State campgrounds do not have cable TV. No wifi either. However, it is a very nice and we'll maintained park. I camp there several times a year.
Thank you for choosing Washington State Parks. You would have to call the reservation line at 888-CAMPOUT or 888-226-7688. You don't have to change the name on the reservation. They can just user your reservation. It is up to you.
No you can not. Camp on the beach.
I have seem some but you will have to call and ask the park
They should have it marked if fires are allowed it really depends on the weather and if there is a burn ban in affect. Hope this helps.
Spotty in the campground; just fine out on the beach.

Thank you for reaching out! It will depend on the Campfire burn ban levels. We are currently at level 2, which is Medium and campfires on the beach are still allowed IF you are 100' from the vegetation line and they are smaller then 3'x3'. Please drown your fire when you leave. This is a link to keep an eye on the restriction levels. https://www.dnr.wa.gov/burn-restrictions
You do not need a pass or to pay a fee to be on the beach. You need an annual Discover pass or $10 day fee to park in the day use parking lot.
No, we do not have any bike trails. There is a paved trail thru Westport Light State Park in Westport.
Not in the state park, on the beach, or on Grays Harbor County roads unless it has a handicap license plate. For more info. please call 360-267-4301 and ask to speak to Ranger Newmyer.
Hi, thanks for reaching out. Sites 1-60 have sewer connections. Sites 61-120 do not. There is a black water dump that is free to use for campers located by the park Welcome Center. There is campground and site info. and photos available at www.parks.state.wa.us . Grayland Beach is a very popular park year around. I suggest making a reservation via the website or by calling 888-226-7688. Most weekends, holidays and clam digs the park is full. We take reservations year around.
ch If you purchase the PRIMATIVE spot you can also purchase an extra vehicle pass for $10 per night. There is a limited number of extra vehicle parking sites. It is best to make a reservation for Grayland Beach State Park because of the popularity of the campground. Our sister park Twin Harbors is located 5 miles to the north of Grayland Beach. Twin Harbors has hiker/biker sites. The sites at Twin Harbors are strictly for people who walk or bike into the park. No motor vehicles are allowed for anyone staying in the HIKER/BIKER sites.

Discover passes are required at DAY USE parks. You do not need a Discover pass to camp. Your parking permit for the campground will work for the DAY USE areas during the dates of your stay. Westport Light State Park and its Westhaven beach area are DAY USE areas and you would need a Discover pass or valid campground parking permit to park there.

They all have a wall heater, ceiling light and porch light. Two night minimum. Most are dog friendly. Covered porch. Picnic table and fire ring. more info and photos, and reservations are available at www.parks.state.wa.gov They are very popular. We also have 2 yurts and 5 rustic cabins at Twin Harbors State Park five miles to the north. Cabins have same sleeping configuration with a dinning table and 4 chairs inside. No cooking or smoking allowed in the cabins or yurts. Photos and info is available on the website. All are located near restrooms and showers.
Thank you for asking. Yes driving and parking is allowed on the beach. It is considered a state highway so all Washington driving laws apply. Speed limit is 25 mph. The approaches are in pretty good shape right now with pretty much compacted sand, but conditions change daily. As Tom mentioned stay in the driving lanes and out of the soft sand near the dunes and away from the surf/clam beds and you should be fine. If you don't have all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive you might want to consider bringing a shovel. Local towing is a min of $300.
Hi, Thanks for reaching out. Most are back-in sites. We only have 4 pull-thru, plus 1 pull-thru handicap site. Site # 81,82,83,84,85. Visit our website at www.parks.wa.gov to see park maps and make reservations.
It depends on which one you rent. You should probably call or look on their website for the most accurate information. Happy camping!
No, all spots are reservable. The parks is still full on the weekends. Weekdays there are usually sites available unless there is a clam dig. Twin Harbors is first come, first serve this time of year. The full hook up sites are still open at Twin until we get significant rain that causes flooding and closure.
No extension cord or special plug required. The 30 amp. power supply is just off the pad.
https://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/saltwater.html Best to consult fishing regulations from WA Dept of Fish & Wildlife
There are plenty of places to ride your bike within the park but I don't recall any bike paths just the main roads.
I agree with Michelle. Also calling to confirm would be your best bet. Happy camping!
I'm not sure about at&t but Verizon was crystal clear.
Yes, there is one. It's called the Pacific Ocean. But you'll want to take a shower after playing in it.
Yes, there is both 50 and 30 amp, but no sewer hookup.
Far as I know flying kites is ok. No idea what kite bugging is.
It's day use and overnight. Your choice. It's a great place for sure.
It is not an RV park. This is a State Park. Lol, but I am sure your phone internet works just fine if you need to keep connected.
