First visit to this state recreation area. The lake is beautiful and the wild sunflowers (not giant sunflowers) were beginning to bloom, along with other wild flowers, which I enjoyed viewing. But the park roads are disintegrating and there isn't any outhouses or picnic tables on the east side of the lake. You will need to travel on at least 3 miles of gravel to get into the area. It seems the fishing is good, but the area around the lake needs some TLC.

What a beautiful sunflower 🌻 field 💛 Really loved this place. We came here twice this season. We clicked more beautiful pictures here and especially no entry fee 😄. Parking near the sunflower field. My daughters really enjoyed this place. Waiting for next season :)

There are some good views to be had from the car.
I was there Sunday evening. There are still many sunflowers but they were very much droped over and looked spent. Not sure if they are done or just needed some water. The ground was very dry.
I went last week and they were pretty much done for the season. They were starting to turn down to drop their seeds
There's a marker on Google maps that indicates where. It's labeled sunflower fields. There are some on two sides of the lake.
Yes!
There are sunflowers this year, in bloom now.
Yes they are planted but they werent blooming yet this weekend.
Don't know but I believe it is all in Madison
I'm sorry, but I haven't been there for a couple weeks, so I don't know
Sorry not sure we stop short of there actually haven't been to the picnic area or ca mping
Sorry that we're not able to monitor this 24/7, but they are starting to bloom.
The north field got planted late so it will be probably the middle of August before they start blooming. The south field is just starting to bloom. The south field is not very good quality this year due to the wet weather in the spring. It's located to the west of the lake off of Highway G14 and Quail Ridge Avenue. The north field is, of course, north of the lake and can be hiked to from the small parking area off Quail Ridge Avenue. Thanks!
I keep getting these Q's and I don't go to Badger Creek I would think they are 😊
