Lovely park. Many shorebirds and raptors. Surfers were out in the waves. It was neat seeing so many live sand dollars.

Nice decent campground next to the beach. A good place to relax in the summer or during razor clamming season.

Very nice, private camp areas. Public bathrooms and showers during open season. Camp spots are also located right out front public facilities.

Upsides to this State Park campground include beach access right on the Pacific, lots of campsites, and good campsite availability throughout most of the year. I found it full-up on a Labor Day weekend, but that is to be expected anywhere in Washington State these days. The main downside is little-to-no privacy at most of the sites; the campground is pretty much wide open. Beyond the beach access there are no amenities that I saw other than indoor bathrooms. The entry station is well stocked with snacks, information, and friendly staff; they even have playing cards! There are other fun things to do nearby. This is a popular beach for surfers, there is another good state park (no camping) just a few miles north, and the town of Westport has some great restaurants and fishing charters. Have fun! Yes there is an electric outlet.
It depends on how many tents, and how big of site you want. For us we had a 1 tent, 1 vehicle site, and it was $35 a night. There is Overflow parking for an additional $10 a night. Hope this helps.
There's the little hut you can call. During the day someone is generally there.
You can in the fire pits. They are not allowed on the beach. Bring plenty of firewood! It can get chilly there at night.
There are multiple places to drive on the beach! I have driven my Hyundai sonata out there no problem, just stay away from deep sand if you don't have AWD.
Thanks for reaching out--At Twin Harbors State Park we have three seasonal camping rates. Peak Season 5/15-9/14. Full hook-up $50. & $45. Standard tent sites $37. Reservations suggested. Shoulder Season 9/15-10/31 Full hookup sites $45. Standard tent sites $30.First come, first serve only. Winter Season 11/1-3/31. Standard tent sites only available, on the west side of the park. $20. per night. First come first serve only. Cabins and Yurts are available year 'round. Reservations required. Peak $86, Shoulder $65, Winter $60. per night. Hope this answers you question.
The campground site map is located on the website www.parks.state.wa.us under the the maps tab. Check the reservation section of the website for current availability and site photos. Please be mindful of rip tides. We want everyone to be safe and have fun. Weekends are usually sold out this time of year. Sunday thru Thursday is you best bet for getting a site without a prior reservation. Thank you for choosing Washington State Parks.
Hi Sheila. Thank you for contacting Washington State Parks. Yes we have 5 cabins and 2 yurts. They are very popular all year. Reservation info. and prices can be found on the Washington State Parks website at https://parks.state.wa.us/ Reservations can be made 9 months in advance so they may be booked up for weekends this summer. Our very popular sister park Grayland Beach State Park has 16 yurts.
At this point there are a lot of campsites available including the full hook up section because we haven't had much rain yet. Once we start getting significant rain we will have to close most of the park for the winter. We are at sea level and most of the park floods. The westside of the park (sites 192-232 including the Yurts and Cabins) stay open all winter because they do not flood. These are dry camp sites with no hook ups, but nice newer shower/restroom buildings near by. We also plan on keeping sites 285-299 open this winter for the 1st time because we have new restrooms and it doesn't flood. You will need to choose a site and self register at the entrance. Cash or checks only. Hope to see you soon. Winter rates: Dry sites are $20 a night/Full hook ups are $30. Cabins and Yurts can be reserved online all year at www.parks.wa.gov They are very popular and book up fast.
We are still under a Level 3 burn ban until the end of September. That means no wood fires or charcoal use in the park or on the beach. Propane is okay. Fire fighting resources need to be conserved for dealing with the wildfires throughout the West. Equipment and firefighters are exhausted and in short supply. https://parks.state.wa.us/1186/Parks-burn-bans
You can find answers to most of your questions about the park here https://parks.state.wa.us/292/Twin-Harbors And about crabbing here https://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/shellfishing-regulations/crab But unless you can find a way to get into the ocean, it will be tough to find a place to catch dungees here.
Thank you for asking. No, there is not any place to target shoot. WAC 352-32-120, WAC 352-32-121.
Clamming has been good, weather dependent. High seas and seeker waves are a concern. Best clamming is at Grayland Beach Road approach and Cranberry Beach Road approach.
There are not any specific ADA campsites, but the west side of the park is basically level and the restrooms/showers are accessible.
There are several privately owned campgrounds in Westport. Check the Westport/Grayland Chamber of Commerce website http://www.westportgrayland-chamber.org/ I have heard everything is sold out. There is an art festival this weekend and fishing season is bringing in lots of folks. Good luck.
Yes, for all of August you will need reservations. 🏕 check online for availability. i prefer the ocean side of the park 🌊
We are in peak season now until mid-September. Tent sites with no utilities are $35 & $37 depending on how size, location, proximity to restrooms, privacy, etc. If you visit www.parks.state.wa.us, onder reservations there is photos of each site.
No utilities $37 or $32 depending on the site. We might be sold out for the weekend. check the web site or call 888 CAMPOUT for availability. https://parks.state.wa.us/223/Reservations There are 4 Hike/Biker sites that Cozmo Joe is referring to, but those are strictly for people who WALK OR BIKE into the park.
Yes there is best to call in advance.
Yes on a leash, and clean their waste. Its beautiful for dogs! As is Grayland Beach Park.
Yes, depending on which side of the campground you are effectively on the beach behind a beach dune, or across the street and behind a dune
No, "Day Use" is for day use only. No camping or overnight camping is allowed in day use areas. You would need to get a camp site at the campground for overnight. Thank you for your question.
Only at thr RV ones.
Yes, there are showers at the bathrooms in the campgrounds. They use tokens for the showers which can be purchased at the park. 6 min of hot water for $1. Showers in the campgounds are for registered campers. The day use park at Westhaven bathrooms also has showers for surfers and other people to use.
Sites 1-49 are RV sites and have full hook-ups-water, elect., sewer. All other sites were built as tent sites and have no utilities.
I saw people having fires on the beach last night and I imagine they didn't carry their firewood in.
It's 30-45 a night
No 5th wheels or rv's not welcome is untrue
