This is another very excellent North Carolina State Park. The campsites are spacious and comfortably separated. We are in an Airstream and the side to side level was very good but the front to back level required quite a bit of lift at the hitch to level. The sites do not have water, electric or dump hook-ups, but that is OK. We prefer to boondock. The bathroom is clean, heated with good shower area. There is a playground and picnic area with a very large open meadow. There are a lot of very pretty day trails and a stream not too far from the campground. There is not much very near to the campground as far as gas, shopping or dining. I think that is a feature, but plan ahead.

1st time here. It is a beginner trail but fun and flows. There are alot of small rocks scattered like a gravel road in places but it's not overbearing. Definitely go if you can.

Such a great park. There are trails for everyone, and the kid's adventure trail is great for the little ones and full activities to play with along the half-mile hike.p

I had a great time hiking around Medoc Mountain. There were very few visitors while I was there on a Saturday morning. The trails were well maintained, wide, and easy to traverse. The views were nothing spectacular, but enough to keep me interested throughout the hike.

Has electrical for trailers. One site to get water for trailer one to drain tanks.plan ahead. Reserve a space.
No, but there is a big grass field at the group camp and public picnic area. Lots of forrest trails to walk and hike.
Definitely don't ride ATVs inside the Park. Can't ride them on public roads to begin with, and offroad ATV inside a Park is a citable offense.
It's free.
There are electric and non electric sites. Water is available at specific places throughout the campground but not at every site.
This park has camping spots that accommodate tents and rv's but it isn't a huge campground. I suggest that you call ahead to see if there are spots available. Being on a motorcycle shouldn't be a problem
No septic hookups, but 50/30 amp. Water nearby but not directly on the campsite. 33ft RV is no problem. Reservations aren't necessary but highly recommended--electric sites are very often booked full on the weekends.
You can drive
It's actually Fishing Creek which is a branch of the Tar River.
