This cave tour is well worth the drive in! The tour guide was great! Talked nice and loud and clearly and knew tons about the cave. We went with my wife's parents and our kids (ages 6 and 8). We all loved it! It's about 55 degrees in the cave, so bring a sweatshirt if you go in the summer.

Mystery Cave; what can I say about this place other than AMAZING. I went here with my significant other and I was not even close to disappointed. Such a beautiful cave in its entirety. Our guide was very knowledgable and took the time to explain every aspect of the cave, the history, gave us plenty of time to enjoy and take photos. If you ever want to take the time to go see Mystery Cave you should. This was a memorable experience that me and my significant other will never forget!

Such a cave system in Minnesota is pretty fascinating, but the tour was pretty underwhelming. Relatively short loop, punctuated by frequent stops by the tour guide that yielded comparatively little information. For $15 I was hoping to see more of the system. Won't go again. I've seen all they'll let me see.

Yes, you must purchase a tour. I would highly recommend purchasing ahead of time online. That way you are guaranteed a spot and can show up just before your tour. Otherwise, you may end up waiting if the next tour is fully booked. Make sure everyone uses the bathroom and gets a drink first, no food or beverages allowed in the cave and the tour is an hour long.
I dont know for sure, I havent seen dogs there and it wouldn't be a very dog friendly place if they were, far as the caves go.
