Dr. Bui has been my eye doctor for many years. As I aged, my cataracts became more pronounced. It was time to get my vision back. I had worn glasses my entire life. She has a professional bedside manner and showed me care at each and every visit. When it was time for lens replacement, she calmly walked me through the procedure and on the operating chair, she was very reassuring and calm and talked me through what was going on. For my second eye, it was a snap. The anxiety was gone because of the remarkable experience for my first eye. I highly recommend Dr. Bui.

Dr. Marie Bui is the best!! She's been my ophthalmologist for as long as I've needed one, and she is super friendly and thorough. I had a couple of clogged Meibomian glands and draining them hurts terribly. There is no way around it. I was cussing up a storm and doing my best not to run out of there while Dr. Bui was conducting the procedure, but she talked me through it and let me express my pain however I needed to. She is professional, efficient and has great bedside manner. Definitely recommend Austin Eye. Also, the office is so incredibly beautiful and well-designed, so that doesn't hurt!

I’ve had such a pleasant experience with Austin Eye clinic that I had to tell everyone. The staff has been friendly and professional, the facilities are beautiful, but especially Dr. Ashley Deese has generously given me personal service and spent extra time to make sure my case was handled properly. Most Importantly, I am able to see better than I have in a couple of years. The fact that she has made the process enjoyable is an appreciated bonus.

Pretty satisfied with the clinical experience, the people were generally courteous and professional. However, not satisfied with the insurance claim process. My medical insurance covers the $65 refraction fee which I told the front desk, the tech/nurse, as well as the OD. Yet they asked me to pay because "most" medical insurances don't cover it. They just had to listen to what I told them about my medical insurance, that it's covered. I later emailed them for a receipt for the refraction to file a claim, which they sent. Turns out they filed the claim too and got paid so emailed them again asking for a refund which is in process. If I hadn't checked, they would've sneakily gotten paid twice. It does look like they generally try to take care of patients quite well and I appreciate that but they could use some help in listening to what people know about their insurance. I'm getting my money back but I had to waste my time (probably worth what I'm getting back) figuring out all of this. And it doesn't seem very trustworthy to ask a patient to pay for a service and then file a claim for the same service.
