This is a wonderful Madison institution for an awesome and romantic dinner. The bread is so good and anything on the menu! Pizza is very good! Use local meat products! The restaurant has a great vibe! Italian food is the staple of the restaurant.

Just get the squash ravioli if it is on the menu. Hands down the best I've ever tasted! Although, if you are looking for something a little extra, try the seafood risotto, wow, fantastic! I can easily say this is one of the top meals I've had over the last year. They don't take reservations, but the staff really does provide a wonderful welcome.

After living in Madison for more than 30 years I finally made it to this iconic location and I'm now kicking myself for waiting so long. The charming decor and romantic interior combined with the light jazz background music of the Rat Pack, Tony Bennett and the like are enough to make you feel like you have been taken back in time to the golden era of fashion and class. Patrick the head chef and owner is so personable and down to earth with a commitment to the community, which flows perfectly into his passion for using seasonally and locally sourced items to inspire his inventive menu. Our appetizer of fried calamari and artichoke petals were lightly battered and perfectly prepared and accompanied with a mild aioli to complement their delicacy. Our entrees of Eggplant Napoletana and Orecchiette w/ Fraboni's Sausage & Rapini (a couple of the staple entrees) were presented beautifully, but the flavors took the evening to another dimension. We shared the entrees between the 2 of us and loved every last bite. As we savored the remaining morsels of our dinner we couldn't decide which dessert to bring the meal to conclusion.....so we chose 2. The chocolate and butterscotch Budino with caramelized hazelnuts arrived with decadence in a beautiful footed compote glass and would have been the perfect conclusion to the night. But the Tiramisu with chocolate shavings was the best we've ever had (including examples from Rome and Venice), just say'n! We're so happy we finally made it and are planning a return to explore and enjoy the fall menu.

It’s a good, established fine dining Italian restaurant. We sat outdoors on a beautiful evening and the service was great. All servers are kind and attentive. Some examples of the food here-bucatini, linguine, and cheesecake. We also had the polenta. All pasta dishes tasted like genuine Italian pasta with rich, bold flavors. It did not taste cheap at all. The polenta was amazing. I hope to try their meatballs next time I go. The cheesecake was a perfect ending the meal. It wasn’t too sweet was well balanced with fruits and nuts. Obviously it’s a bit expensive but one gets what they are paying for.

Restaurant operating at 25% capacity. All staff wearing masks and gloves. Many customers have gone to ordering takeout. Still my favorite location in town.
Italian place in a basement? Your thinking of greenbush, the restaurant not the bakery. It's right next to regent at liquor off park st
Yes they do. Call during business hours and the host can take care of that for you
No, but you can probably order through a 3rd party like eat street
Call their establishment and ask
