If you come to stay, come for the history of the establishment. You will find plenty of that here. You will also find a very kind and courteous staff that will go out of their way to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable. While the Hotel was built from a historic Department Store this did take place in the 1980's. The hotel, while clean and comfortable, may not meet the tastes of someone that expects the latest in furnishings, gadgets, and room style. It is not disappointing once you arrive, but just understand that you should enjoy this location for its antiquated ambience. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and activities within walking distance so you can enjoy a visit without ever having to leave in your vehicle. The management of the establishment recently changed so if you have stayed before, make certain of what your reservation includes as it will have changed since your last visit. Safe Travels

For God’s sake, please avoid this place by any means! The service here is , for the lack of other word, is absent. The room was never cleaned in days. Shampoo/conditioner bottles never changed, just laying around empty for days. Bathroom, toilet, tables, countertops were never cleaned at all. Not even touched. It’s just a nasty, ignorant service team in otherwise solid old glory place. Genuinely the worst kind of hotel experience we have had in many, many, years of traveling as a family. Hard to comprehend how low this hotel’s standards are.. Avoid, avoid, avoid….

My husband and I stayed here with our dog Cooper and we loved it! The room was huge and very clean with housekeeping service every night! The staff was incredible and so friendly! The location is perfect with lots of shops, dining, and breweries walking distance. We really love the bier garden and the French restaurant that were in the same building - great food and super convenient. We loved this hotel and we will definitely be back!

Excellent staff, clean rooms, and nice location! You can't ask for much more! I was especially in need of the fabulous customer service in order to get in and out of my car and luggage to my room due to recovering from a recent surgery on my foot. Everyone was ready and willing to help with each departure and arrival. The room was spacious and spotless! Amenities included a refrigerator and keurig-type coffee maker, but there wasn't a microwave. Presence of a microwave isn't make-or-break for me, but warming up leftovers from an evening out isn't easily done.
