Just relocated to Shelby. I had to set up a new PCP. Wasted over 30 minutes of my morning on hold trying to set up an appointment. Won't ever go here Dr Stephen Bryan' team is awful over there

I have been on hold for twenty minutes listening to music and a robotic voice thanking me for my patience. I don't have any patience left. All I wanted to ask was for a copy of my medical records. If you disagree with a doctor here they will dismiss you from their practice. I was told I had yelled at a nurse practitioner, I didn't, and when I arrived for my next appointment with the doctor I had to sit and listen to him yell at me for ten minutes over something I did not do. Then I was dismissed from the practice without any recommendations for another physician to take over my care. This is a privately owned practice so it is perfectly legal for them to refuse to see you. I was told I would be given refills on any needed medications for thirty days but then I was on my own. I am on permanent disability too. The staff, once you get them on the phone, are nice. The doctor I saw was not. I am not mentioning his name at this time because of legal reasons. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I love them. Great care and Jessica Smith, my PA, is wonderful. The nurses are wonderful.

I would give them a zero review if I could. My daughter who tested positive for Covid and also has 3 high risk factors which is high blood pressure, asthma, and a BMI >25 was seen at Shelby Medical today and the NP was very unkind and unprofessional, no compassion whatsoever, especially when my daughter told her that she was unvaccinated for Covid. My daughter requested an antibody infusion but was refused, even with the 3 high risk factors, because she was not an "old person" (the NP words). So much for the oath to do whatever possible to protect your patients. I do not recommend Shelby Medical.
