We were offered a chance to sit on the dock looking out over the lake and it was great. We were in the shade and very pleased. Our server was friendly and very attentive. The menu had quite a few different options and it was difficult to narrow our chiices down for lunch. We ordered the hamburger and Caesar salad for me and the fish, fries and coleslaw for my wife. The hamburger was cooked perfectly, great flavor, and the salad was very fresh. My wife's fish was tender, flaky and delicious and the fries were lightly seasoned and very good. We had visitors of ducks, turtles and the occasional fish in the water just a few feet from us with a great view of the lake and the mountains. We would definitely come back if we are ever in this area again.

Only way to experience this place is to be outside on the patio right on the lake with gorgeous, breathtaking, mountain views. Plus in the middle of nature how can you beat that!?! You may even be lucky enough as we were; to be entertained, by the occasional momma black bear & her cubs down in the water just living their best life...❤ (please do not approach or feed. Use caution and common sense..I know it seems to be a super power these days but please be respectful of nature and the establishment includes guest around you ) Did I mention the she-crab soup and pecan encrusted rainbow trout ? Can't think of one complaint; great atmosphere and vibe. Younger servers sometimes make an occasional what seems to be obvious, silly boo boo but they're young ...we're all human and we all have/had to learn at some point nothing out the norm especially, for that industry. Great experience hands down ...across the board. My husband and I even had to bring the whole family here when we got married at the Lake Lure Inn and spa in October! P.S.- Get there at a decent time; as they do not accept reservations! Which is bittersweet but fully understable so it's first come first serve and of course the people come especially for the view so be prepared for longer wait times for the patio. (Good things come to those who wait they say) this is the case here, it's most certainly worth every second of the wait. I will also include last but not least don't let the amount of people waiting in front of you discourage you from eating there or even compromising your first choice on where to sit because those men and woman bust their little behinds to keep those tables coming they are very effective in what they do without feeling rushed. Just relax..breath, sit back soak in the views, have one of their amazing hand crafted cocktails and trust the process that first bite will tell you everything you need to know 😀 😉 🥰 as you can see I'm obsessed so go check it out..make sure to take care of your servers they work very hard and all for tips from people like you and I! They sure will not disappoint!! Grateful to have had one of my favorite places in the entire country pull thru such a tough time as covid because not everyone(especially, smaller local businesses) were as blessed 🙏🏻 so please go show them so love!!!

Our 1st dinner for 2022 as a family. Love the outdoor scenery. Customer service was good. We had a great waitress. Don't recall her name. Whatever the request she said "sure you can" 🙂. My meal was awesome! Ordered: Chicken Piccata. The risotto could have used a tad more seasoning. 😉 Them Habanero Peach wings 🤩 Dessert: the brownie warmed or moist would have really took it over the top! That cheesecake was nice. Those dessert portions were big enough to share.

The establishment and customer service was 5 stars I would say. They were very kind with such a relaxing view! I got a sirloin steak, with a seafood platter, crab stuffed mushrooms and hush puppies with a Bloody Mary... My boyfriend got the long island iced tea. Their hush puppies were the best I ever had with so much flavor and not dried out. As far as our steak goes, the flavor was good but it has so much fat and really I'm just not a sirloin steak fan... So maybe someone that enjoys a sirloin would enjoy it more than us. I decided to try an evening visit since they have a different steak option. I'm a huge burger loving girl so I may just opt for that since they look pretty incredible from pictures. I'm also a Bloody Mary fan and that was very enjoyable... I expected more heat but it was tasty and delicious. I'm looking forward to more trips here and trying more of their food items out 😊

Emotional support dogs are permitted at Larkins. If your dog does not have the "ESA" jacket, they will not be allowed.
Not down stairs. But up is. We have a son in a wheelchair and it takes effort for sure to get in
Yes
No buffet but the food is really good and no more expensive than a resturaunt that isn't by the water without a beautiful view and the staff was very nice, even playful 😁
Unless your dog is a service canine, no dogs allowed, including the patio. It's a bummer.
