Lake Lure Beach and Water Park

Drove up to this lake from Asheville. The rose were really windy so be prepared for that but the trip is really cool and very scenic there is a lovely stream that you pretty much follow all the way up to this amazingly large lake. The beach and waterpark were very cute with a bunch of families playing and enjoying the sun. The water was nice and clean and warm. The little waterpark activities were nice for kids as well. The price was fair and the services were good. The staff there was also very friendly.

Wonderful place. . . Great place for a family picnic . . You reach by road or by water . . . Lots of river side restaurants where you can park your boat and enjoy the food. . This man made beach is small but has wonderful view from the Dunes, has lawn on sides of the water for picnic as well. I loved this place.

A quaint beach nested in the mountains. Pictures do not capture the beauty of the mountains. It’s $10/adult to access the beach and the views are well worth it. My friend and I enjoy relaxing on the beach and enjoying the views and good company. A perfect place for a picnic with friends and family.

Husband said this is where Dirty Dancing was filmed, have t looked it up yet, but the experience was great, it's so beautiful. We walked along the boardwalk, nothing spectacular about that, then we took the walking trail......just beautiful.
