We have done a ton of things this years with our kids. We've got to Legoland and Bush Gardens. We've gone to Gatlinburg and done all those things. Horseback riding at Riverside Riding Stables was their favorite thing by far. The family that runs the stables was extremely welcoming! The mother that checked us in treated us just like family and Jesse let us check out all the horses while she groomed them. My daughter (6) ,son (8), and myself were all first time riders. Rick explained to us in very simple terms how to ride and how best to treat the horses for our first time riding. Jesse and her daughter took my family and I out riding down the river and it was incredibly beautiful. We've been coming to this part of NC for about 10 years and I'm sad we haven't been riding with them sooner. We will definitely be back and I can't recommend them enough!

Our family did a one hour trail ride. The horses at Riverside were absolutely beautiful and well cared for. The staff was extremely kind and made sure we all felt comfortable before heading out on our ride. We can't wait to come back and do the river ride.

Amazing, Personable, Educational, Charming, Endearing, are just a few words to describe Arlene and Rick. From the first entrance into the stable to the departure the entire team was very accommodating and alert to everyone’s needs. My group had 4 people of different riders experience and they ensured each person felt comfortable before the ride began and then during the ride. We had amazing conversation and laughs! I highly recommend Riverside Riding Stables to anyone that wants a moment to recalibrate and have a great time - head out for a 2 hr ride!

We had the best time today at Riverside Riding Stables! The stables and grounds are absolutely beautiful! Owners Rick and Arlene are two of the friendliest couples you'll ever meet. Rick was so patient and helpful as he shared all we needed to know to make our ride one of the best we've ever had. Jessie, our guide, was very friendly and took great care of us on the ride. She made sure we knew exactly what to do and when to do it. She also took the time to make sure we had lots of great pictures on our ride. She even stopped to treat the horses and take more pics for us. It was reassuring to have her lead and Cameron bring up the rear - we felt safe! I highly recommend Riverside Riding Stables! We will definitely go back soon!!
