This is a great place and the views are different than chimney rock. It's a short drive off memorial highway, and boy scout road. Has plenty of parking, including handicapped. Restrooms, and a nice hiking trail. And pet friendly.

Had a great time walking to the falls. Rode the elevator to the top of the Rock, watched Santa rappel down and then walked down the stairs. The subway and grotto was a nice walk.

This park is SPECTACULAR even if you are not a climber. The boulders are magnificent and the trails are well kept. There is a nice loop you can take there just a couple of miles. Many side paths to explore and apparently some recent bear sightings. Great place to visit if you are in the Lake Lure area.

Successful first outdoor rock climbing adventure with my Beloved and a group led by Richard Wagner (and shadowed by Gordon) from SMAC/Climbmax in Asheville. Slab climbing was a little scary for me and surprisingly fun and sticky (meaning I actually stuck to the wall when some of the foot and hand holds were basically non-existent. Great leadership and connections made! I'm definitely looking forward to learning more outdoor climbing skills and moving through the mental fears that arise in the process. It's great meditation in action 🧗♀️🧗♂️🤙👍🧘♀️🙏🏼💖

Completing the entire loop would not work for anyone who has difficulty walking unless they can walk up precarious steps. You could double back to see all tho
They should be till around 4
