It's a free, adorable, lively walkway where dogs are welcome and encouraged (there is even a section of the park made especially for dogs). This place is perfect for couples, kids, or families. There are mailboxes that have different little activities in them all along the walk, including a scavenger hunt.

A lovely stroll on the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge is a must. We visited in May when the spring flowers were in bloom. A pleasant stroll looking at the flower gardens that are maintained by the locals. With peaceful places to sit and enjoy!

Very nice. I like the way the different gardens are constructed and got some nice ideas for the home outside sitting area. The flowers were beautiful and you can tell it's well taken care of.

This is a must-see while driving through Lake Lure! The community does an amazing job keeping the garden beautiful in all seasons. They have expanded to include a children’s garden. You can easily spend a half hour reading all about the different flowers and enjoying the butterflies. We love coming back year after year to see how much it keeps growing.

Yes Kate, Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash. Dogs must be under your control at all times. We try to keep water dishes filled at each end of the bridge for your dog's comfort.
Hi Tammy, I talked with the Flowering Bridge board members and they don't think it would be a good idea. I hope you can find another way to honor your loved one.
Each season offers its unique beauty. I highly recommend Spring and Summer, but Fall is beautiful too. November through February is not the optimal time to visit but still worth a walk through.
