I haven’t stayed. I booked a room for tonight yesterday via phone. I clarified that there would be a plus 1. I booked for 1 week (7 days in layman’s terms). They took my information by phone, you know, address, email, phone number, credit card; pretty standard stuff. Let me start by saying I’ve stayed in motels/hotels from New Jersey to California over the course of over 30 years (this background will make sense in a minute), so I know a little something about lodgings. Anyway… I called customer care and told them I was making the 13 hour trek (3 & 1/4 states) the day of my reservation (yesterday now, barely) and that I would be arriving around 9:30 pm, They told me to contact the motel directly, after 11:00. Okay. I called them directly. The man at the front desk told me they close at 7:00 pm. I told him I have a plus 1, maybe my son could check in for us. He said “We weren’t aware’l He told me they need payment. I told him “You have my credit card on file, what’s the issue?” He told me they need my card in person to swipe. I told him “Maybe my son could pay the first night and I could pay balance in the morning?” You know, when I’m not still in the Pacific NW. He said “we only have weekly.” I said “Charge my card, you already have it, it’s not my son’s expense, it’s mine and he doesn’t have the money.” He said “We can’t without the card present to swipe.” Okay, I asked him “What if we move the reservation 1 day.” Pretty straight forward, 1 week, 7 days. He said “yes.” (See, I’m still willing to work with them at this point, keep reading 😉). He said “Okay.” I asked him “will I be penalized?” He said “No. I said “okay. I asked “same price?” He said “ after I modify it, I can’t see.” The price sounded about right. Hours later…. In another motel… I have a chance to check my email (you know, because I’m not driving, trying to avoid a fiery dear). This is where it gets interesting… He didn’t sign for 7 days, he signed for 7 weeks!!! For 1 week it’s an additional $30 ( probably for my inconvenience, you know, having to figure out lodging during my 13 hour drive that I thought was already set.) the email has a button to change or cancel reservations. I followed the link. Response?… “reservation cannot be modified because of policy.” I called customer care. Closed. I called front desk. No answer (also closed). I’ve stayed in hundreds of motels over the years, this is the first time ever coming across a motel that can’t do check in after 7:00 pm. Ever!!! Needless to say I'm I’m not giving them my business!!! This level of incompetence and lack of customer service is Appalling. I haven’t stayed, so I didn’t say 1 star, but in every other area thus far I would say 1 star. I’m going to call them tomorrow to cancel, I’d be very surprised if they didn’t charge me for not canceling with 24 hours notice.( I’ll keep y’all apprised of the outcome.) I’m not moving to Utah!!! I was willing to extend my trip by 1 day, find another motel (en route mind you) pay the extra $30 bucks (to make up for my inconvenience (I guess), but 7 weeks??? C’mon!!! I bey they’ll be able To accept my card without it present for canceling. What do you think? Kinda hope they do, so I can tell you fine folks and you can avoid this hassle. And before the owner replies with “We constantly strive… and we’re sorry… we hope you reconsider…” maybe read this review all the way through and try to actually do something about it, instead of just replying. Anyway, I’ll let you know. Thanks for reading. I’m staying elsewhere for my 1 week! Hope this was helpful. It wouldn’t let me post without giving it a rating. I’m saying 1 star. This kinda nightmare isn’t conducive of a fun, happy, relaxing vacation!

Decent prices, but reserve with them (not a service like Expedia or Hotels.com) for better rates. This is a no frills hotel but very nice staff.

I was told that I had to leave because I called the police Thursday Thursday morning to report ongoing threats to me and my family. They are from my stalkers or the people who think that they "own" me. It had a kitchenette. Of you can't report a crime and get help from last enforcement, leave the hotel. That was the second hotel in two months to kick me out for contacting and talking to Midvale Unified Police. The other was Laquinta in Midvale, Utah. The room did have a nice view of the Wasatch Mountains and the roof next door.

Absolutely the WORST place to stay. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra few bucks a night to go somewhere else. Staff is rude. Rooms are terrible. They literally make you provide your own dam toilet paper. They don't provide anything in their room as far as the "kitchenette" go. Seriously... RUN!!!
