You must come down and see this place is off the hook. Really awesome.

Great camping spot. Expected to walk further than we did but all the sites were relatively close to the parking lot and bathrooms. Each site has a picnic table and a fire pit with a grill. You only need to pay the parking fees ($5 per day) which makes for a cheap getaway.

The campground is beautiful and significantly cheaper than the main campground. The restroom facilities are kept very clean and the environment is amazing. Even in busy months the campground is almost always empty, and most of the campsites are creekside and serine. Great place only a short walk from the parks top overlooks and attractions. I would definitely return and recommend.

A secluded campground connected to the trails of the park, with a bathhouse and parking lot in the middle and campsites spread out through the woods with plenty of room between. Some of the sites are a good walk from the bathhouse, so bring jugs. The bathrooms and sites are very clean and well maintained, with gorgeous views around a 30 minute hike away.

Questions & Answers

What is the camping rates this time of year?

Fernando Rodriguez | May 17, 2020

Rates for campsite (with electricity) is $36 per night or $252 per week Walk-in campsites go for $20 a night or $140 per week, these don't have water or electricity. Check availability on the website: https://gastateparks.reserveamerica.com

Is it primative camping here or is there electric, water, and a bathhouse?

For the walk-in sites there is not power or water at the sites. There is a fire pit and table at each. There is a single bathhouse near the parking lot. The loop of campsites is actually quite large, so if you are on the side near the bathrooms it's semi-primitive, but on the far side of the loop you would not want to walk all the way to the bathrooms.

Not certain of that, but I did not see any mention of it not being allowed as long as you pay for the campsite. Overnight parking is not allowed at some of the parking areas.
