Beautiful spot and campsites. Horrible signal and wifi. Pricey wood.

Was a good experience, just didn't realize what rustic camping really involvedπŸ˜…. But made it a great time regardless.

My poor cat after the drive there 😟, be careful on their dirt road, it's like land mines went off everywhere

Being on the river with friends was the only pleasant part of this trip. I had to make reservations (not a simple process online) pay for 14 people in advance and hope everyone showed up and was on time. I was first told there was a bus that ran at 12:30 as well as our arrival time should be at 12. The day of the trip we faced an hour and a half drive north so I figured 10:25 AM would give us plenty of time. I called once we were leaving to confirm our reservations and payment processing and was then told the last bus was at noon and we needed to arrive by 11:30 and that there were no refunds if we miss our time. I reach out to all of our party and we rushed there with no stopping and no bathroom breaks. Rushed inside, checked in got our parking tags and realized we were missing someone from our party. I went back to the counter to ask about a possible late bus just incase and was told there isn't one and no exceptions will be made and then told I never checked in and asked where I got the car tags.. By now it's already 12:04 and we thought for sure we had missed the bus, I checked in again with a different lady and was so worried about this time frame they had given us and they wouldn't even tell us if the bus had already ran, it was like a guessing game. We rushed our whole party, almost left the last person behind (thankfully they pulled up as we were headed back to park, which parking was another joke) everyone rushed up only to see a bus pull away. $300 down the drain? Nope, the bus we were on didn't even run for another 20 minutes 😑. They rush you for no reason, don't answer any questions and have horrible customer service. I heard several others talking about how they felt rushed as well. I will never again book a tubing trip with this campground.

Our cabins include a raised fire pit with a swing over grill-grate. However our campsites do not have grills, you would need to provide your own.

Is the river friendly for those without experience and with kids?

Emma Shivers | May 18, 2019
Rene Lynn | May 19, 2019

I would say not to bring young children, there are large groups and there is a current, and there is overhang obstruction; branches and rocks in water in certain areas and people do generally use alcohol so under the age if 14 and their experience, its up to you...but its seems very friendly on the water with alot of people!

We had a great time camping and tubing over the 4th of July holiday. My wife and I loved the comfy rental tubes. I know you don’t sell them, but can you tell me the brand/model of the β€œdry butt” tubes so we can purchase our own?

Simon Martin | May 18, 2019
River View Campground & Canoe Livery (Owner) | May 19, 2019

Simon, unfortunately they aren't available to purchase anywhere as we designed them and have them manufactured specifically for our operation. A company called Tube-Pro manufactures them and they have similar tubes, but the back rest is not as high and not quite as large as ours.

Is there a/c in the cabins??

Steph Yang | May 18, 2019
Adam Berch | May 19, 2019

No a/c. Bring an extra fan or two, they were extremely hot this past weekend. There are only a couple smaller windows so the ventilation is not great, especially if there isnt a breeze, but put a small box fan in each window and you'll be fine, plus this past weekends heat was not normal. That being said, you'll have a great time at River View, they are definitely the better campground in the area. Great staff, good prices at the camp store and you can't beat the tubing trips. I have been to a lot of campgrounds over the years, this is my favorite by far.
