This was a nice campground. Quiet and cozy. We stayed in a cabin and it was adequate for our family of 5 and dog. There is a gas grill and fire pit. The cabin had a small fridge, coffee maker and microwave. The bathrooms were typical for a campground and none were very far from sites. My kids really loved the pool. It's a bit of a drive to Cadillac mountain and some of the other popular sites in Acadia and Bar Harbor from here , but Bass Harbor has its own character and fun vacation things to do too. It is still a good headquarters and we would likely stay here again if we are ever out in the area. We enjoyed the nearby Charlotte's lobster pound and the Island nature cruise.

I don't know how much of my experience was affected by being there during a holiday weekend but it was not the best. The campsites are super close together and overall just super loud. The bathrooms aren't the worst I've seen but they didn't refill and of the soap dispensers for the 4 days I was there. Also couldn't throw away any trash there cause the one dumpster they had was overflowing the whole time. I'm sure there are worst campsites but there are definitely better ones for less on the island.

Quiet, very clean and well kept sites. Walking distance to the Bass Harbor lighthouse. Beautiful, clean, heated pool. Not a lot of activities for kids of that's what you're looking for. Free bus stops right outside the gate.

A quiet, comfortable place to stay while visiting Acadia National Park. They offer numerous services to make it a suitable campground, and the hosts are very friendly. I stayed in Puffin Place which was great, with the only notable gripe being that the outdoor grill/fire pit area is directly next to the grill/fire pit of one neighboring yurt. I highly recommend walking or driving down to the nearby Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse for a great view of the sunset.

It depends on your cell sometimes, but near bathrooms, recreation room and the office you should get full coverage. I worked there and it's pretty good as long as you're not way far off.
