The sites are beautiful and well spaced out. However, the bathrooms are not well maintained and there hasn’t been hot water in the women’s bathroom for a week. Everyone needs to shower in the men’s bathroom, and even there, the water turns cold randomly, while you’re taking a shower.

The site we got was by the main road. It was noisy due to all the traffic and construction. The bathroom did not have hot water for showers. The campsite felt more like a parking area for cars coming to the campground. And to top it all, they charged almost 400 dollars for two nights of stay. What a ripoff !!!

If I could give a zero I would. I spoke with George from SS Camp may 5 via email confirming my reservation. He neglected to tell me that they cancelled my reservation 2 days later. We arrived in Maine and discovered a closed camp ground. I even called on the way to Maine while also sending an email just to confirm. I am appalled at the lack of service but also basic common sense and communication. The third party booking company was very kind but you didn’t bother to tell me in an email 5 days prior to arrival that you canceled a reservation when we drove all the way from Iowa and discovered we had no place to stay. I will be reporting this to the better business bureau. Also, the place looked like a total dump. Go to the KOA, they were kind friendly had hot showers and cost the same.

Stayed in Bella and it exceed our expectations! The view from the site was lovely and quiet. Clean sheets and a pillow for the bed were provided. Tons of deer and wildlife. Bathrooms have 3 shower and 3 toilets which was always enough. I never had to wait. They were always clean. Only two things worth noting. 1) It’s pretty steep terrain. Each site has been leveled, but trips to the bathhouse are multiple flights of stairs. There is space to drive up and park if you need to however. 2) Our tent had some mildew in it. It seemed to be cleaned and no longer growing, but if you have allergies, maybe consider bringing your own tent and not renting a lotus tent. We would certainly stay here again!
