Definitely worth the trek. It's long and a bit tiring near the top, but there are views that you don't really get from Cadillac mountain or other peaks to the east

Stunning, sweeping views of Acadia. Pair this one with Penobscot for a double-peak hike about 4 hrs round trip. Bring a bathing suit for a dip in the beautiful Sargent Pond mid-hike!

Long beautiful way and it worth it. We started from Giant Slide Trail. Trail began right from the Sound Drive road. It goes through the forest, some huge rocks, forest again and then you will be on the immense open space. It was windy and breezy on the top, but the view is amazing.

The trail I was on was dry, although it looked like it would have a stream with melting snow.
