We love going to this campground and visiting with my parents. So close to the beaches but quiet. Highly recommend.

I can't rave enough about this place and the people there. Norma is amazing. Very kind and welcoming and always there to help with whatever it is you need. My fiance and I just started our camping experience so although we don't have a lot to compare to yet we are more than pleased with our stay at Shamrock. Its a small quaint and quiet place. As it was just myself and my fiance who went it was nice and relaxing. If I had younger kids I am not sure how it would have been but there were plenty of kids around the campground riding bikes etc. It is the end of the season so the pool was closed and no "activities" but it was exactly what we wanted. The bathroom facilities were very clean. The other people who are seasonal campers were beyond kind and welcoming. Although you are just a weekend camper they treat you like one of their own. I will definitely be coming back. The trip was 5 hours for us but worth every minute of relaxation when you get there.

Great Campground! Pet friendly. 8 minutes from secluded-ish beach. A Hidden Gem. Mosquitoes not as bad as anticipated with other reviews, and we were right on the pond. Kids loved the free paddleboat use as well. Very nice, well-kept salt-water pool. Bullfrog songs were great at night, and I think a blue heron lives in pond as well. 5 Stars!

We spent 4 days tent camping at shamrock campground. $35 a night gets you a campsite with water and electricity. Keep your fingers crossed it doesn't rain if you are in a tent! It poured on our first night there and because the site was on a hill our tent completely flooded, part of this was because my tent leaked slightly from the top but a good majority came from sitting in the stream of water coming down the hill. The campground is situated around a pond, which was lovely to look at but pond + woods = a whole lot of mosquitoes! I believe the pool was new this year, it is located up near the front pond. We were fine while using the pool but bring bug spray for when you get out. The play structure is right next to the pool, they had a couple picnic tables near the structure so I could sit close by and watch the kids. They also had a small game room with a pool table and air hockey I believe. The bathrooms could use some major renovations as well, I know things get dirty when your outside/camping but tossing a little bleach on the floors/toilets/showers would probably make a huge improvement. They had a dish sink just outside the bathroom which I wasn't expecting and it was a nice surprise! If you are a family looking to hit the beach (or any attraction really) during the day this town would not be my first choice again. It is 30 minutes minimum to go anywhere. It was close to a stores, but we came for the beach! Overall if I *had* to stay in Biddeford again Shamrock Campground would be my choice but we definitely prefer to be closer to the beach.
